ATG: need help

I have the 714. I have loaded the tape. I think it is correct. It works. However, it keeps sliding off the roller. I have to push the tape back on (the two rollers that are not inside the housing) after every 3 or 4 uses. It is very annoying.

Any suggestions?

Is your gun new? I've seen some posts on 2Peas that there was a defective batch of guns, and that if you contact 3M they will replace it.

I think I saw something on the cricut board too.

If you don't think it is defective, describe how you apply the tape. Course, I don't have mine handy to see how I hold it, but I know that depending on how you lift it from the paper, you might pull it off the roller.

I let go of the trigger and pull straight back toward my body.

this happens to me a bit but I know it's because I tend to lean the gun to the left a bit when using it, rather than it being straight up and down. I just push it back on, and it doesn't bother me.
