it was great!

I had the chicken, my husband had the chicken and NY steak combo and my DD had the kids chicken. The adults lunch came with salad with ginger dressing, white rice, grilled onions, mushrooms, zuchinni, carrots and bean sprouts. We were also given a ginger dipping sauce and a mustard dipping sauce. I really liked the mustard. The kids meal came with a drink, a carrot, pea, string bean and corn veggie mix, white rice, a few of the bean sprouts and then ice cream for dessert.

Our server was very nice and our chef was very entertaining. He talked and joked while cooking and had us laughing the entire time. The chef at the next table was not as entertaining and I think that was part of the fun.

I was afraid my DD would not like it and I would have to stop at the American Adventure for chicken strips and fries after lunch but she loved it and asked when we can go again!!

This is great to hear. We're heading down at the end of
the month and Teppanyaki will be a place we'll be trying
for the first time. Glad you enjoyed it ;)

Hi Hedda Lettuce!

You served us (wonderfully, I might add) a couple years ago at Whispering Canyon.

It sounds like Teppanyaki's child's meal has changed slightly. As recently as the first week in June, children were served a fresh fruit mix when the adults got the ginger salad. They then got the same grilled veggies, mushrooms and sprouts as everyone else. No green beans, carrots, etc., mix.

Hi Tar Heel,

I remember your nice review of Whispering Canyon. You had 3 boys with you, atleast one drinking lots of milk, right?

There were 2 different kids meals, one had the fruit salad but did not include the drink. My daughter didn't want the fruit so we ordered the "Donalds Meal", without the fruit but with the drink and it was $3 cheaper. I didn't understand that but OK. It didn't state anywhere on the menu that the veggies included were different than what the adults get so that was a surprise to us also. It was a great meal though.

Teppanyaki sounds like my favorite Sushi/Hibachi place, Jinbeh. Thanks for the review, my wife and I are going to have to stop by.

We discovered a few years ago that the vegetables are different with the "Donald's Favorite", and all my kids prefer the zucchinni, so we pay more for the version of "kids chicken" that includes the zucchinni. Teppanyaki is a great restaurant, it is a "must-do" on each trip. My DD chose to do this on her birthday(Easter Sunday) a few years ago over all other restaurants! But if no one else ever posts rave reviews, I'm fine with that...I want to always be able to get a PS!
