ATC & Inchie Swap is officially closed!

If I can do a flat oragami on it as 1 of the embellishments I can do the ethnic group- I will being doing Oriental in that case.

Rebecca

Rebecca that sounds great. I'll go ahead & add you now. Thank you very much!

If anyone else is interested in the Decades Group, I can give you a link for some collage sheets that might give you ideas for 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's. They have to be purchased if you want to order them for download, but not expensive, though.

I'm 4 groups down :goodvibes But my vellum has gone a bit wavy from the stickles:headache: I'll stick it under a book before I wrap it unless anyone has any bright ideas:confused3

HELP!

I have all my inchie groups done except for the Ethnic group. Can anyone help me think of what to do here? I was going to do a flag, but that is just boring! I can't think of anything else to do. Any ideas out there??

There are lots of websites where you can download collage sheets with Inchie designs (for a small price). I'd probably start with something like that and then embelish on top of that.

Hey, is an angel still needed for DR's group 17 - Disney Attractions? If so, I can do that one. Let me know & I'll think of which attraction I'm going with since I have a few ideas at the moment.

Michelle

I've done half my groups, but I might not get them all done and packed before we go on vacation :headache: There's plenty of time with the date pushing back, but I'd like to get them done and off so i can do the everyday when I get home:)

Having taken the vintage I'm not sure what to do :headache:- I found a realy cute repro "joke catalogue" with the price in "old money" (shillings), so I might do something from that - what do you think? Maybe colour bits of the ads and put them against a "wallpaper" sort of paper with some "stuff" (don't know what yet), or some repro bubble gum cards which are fun - are they old enough (1960s)?

I don't want to print anything as I'm nearly out of ink and DH always moans about the price :guilty: (I could BUY a printer for less than the cartridges:mad:)

Either of those ideas sound cool to me.

And, yes, the price of ink is ridiculous!! When I get time, I want to research finding a wireless capable printer with more reasonably priced ink cartridges.

I haven't seen anyone sign up for that group on this thread. Michi has't been around in a while, though, so I don't know for sure.

Hey Buffy,
How are you handling taking these to WDW to assemble?

I was thinking of signing up for a long crop in a couple of weeks to try to get some done. The problem is, I get an idea, but that often changes while I'm putting them together, and I'm afraid I wouldn't have all the stuff available while being held captive at a crop. I'm normally back crounging all my stuff, etc once I start working on these!! Not sure if it would work for me, but would sure like to do them with minimal mess to my house vs. the last time....LOL..... and maybe a little quicker! I can spend hours on just one!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that:rotfl2:Even with things like the colour swap (where its harder to change your mind once everything is cut) I'll change embellishments etc. But for this, I often have everything set out then have an "a-ha!" moment (no, I don't start singing:lmao:) and find something else to use. Or I have huge bundles of stuff and thing "That's not all ging to fit on one tiny card":rolleyes1

I've got some great paper which looks like 60s wallpaper so I might partner that with bits from the joke catalogie - the language is hilarious "amuse the men and confuse the ladies"

I need help or inspiration or something!
I'm good on my ATC, only have Grand Canyon left to do.
But this Inchie thing has got me stumped. I know its not rocket science but I only have one group done and am just not inspired. Now I love my corner squares and use them quiet often as the element on page swaps but I just cant seem to get into this.
Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated (or photos, links, etc)
Thanks!

If I were doing Inchies, which I'm not, because I'm more into the ATC's, I would either use some of the Clear Stamps that are made for Inchies (or part of a larger stamp)or download some of the online Collage Sheets that are designed for Inchies. They're both really artsie. I know Archivers has the Clear Stamps for Inchies, so I would assume any store that sellls a lot of stamps would. If you need links for some of the collage sheets, I can PM them to you. They just cost a few bucks to order and download and are sold by many artists. Then you can add a 3D embellishment on top, etc.

Oh, yeah, I do all of this!!! So, if I were stuck at a crop and needed something else from my stash I couldn't finish the cards, or I'd have to drive 30 min. back home to pick up! But, I could probably do that and still have enough crop time (as long as it's just one trip home), plus let the dogs out....LOL!!

Yodasmom -- would you please PM those links to me? I bought some inchie blanks to work with and have not started yet but will be this week. I don't mind printing. My printer is really good with ink and I find it cheap on ebay anyway :)

I pretty much have dedicated supplies for ATC's and inchies so I take it all. If I do have a "A-HA" moment I write it down then move on to something else and find the stuff when I get home.

Sent!!

Also, I was at Joann's tonight and they have some rubber and clear stamps with Inchie designs. Just depends on your subject. I'm sure Michaels probably has them, or will be getting them since they told me they are expanding their stamp area.

I have some boxes dedicated to ATC's too, but then they (ATC's) start stealing from my other scrap supplies!!

Yodasmom
could you please send me those links as well. I want to start these but I dont want to send off a bunch of c***.
Thank you very much!
Rita
