I knew they couldn't do it for to long. I'm glad they are back flying to Orlando! When they stopped in Febuary it nearly ruined our May trip. I love the savings of the price wars between ATA and SWA. The article can be found on the ATA home page under the news section.

Even though we're ATA Elite members, so far they're not even in the same ballpark as SW for all of our current flight dates.

I got round trip tickets on SWA for this Sept. for $115.40 each person. :cool1:Oh yeah that is Chicago -Orlando non-stop

There are going to be no price wars. Southwest owns a large stake in ATA. They co-operate on routes.

I got my airfare for $49 each way on SW! Gotta love the savings! When we flew with SW in May I noticed that the flight attendants were quite funny, I HATE flying (Xanax all the way), and they were cracking jokes all through the safety speil. My girls all got wings for flying with them and it was a very nice flight, we even got into Orlando 35 minutes early. I just think it's funny that they cut their flights to Florida and now they are bringing them back. It seems that they made a mistake and it is going to cost them.

The service they are bringing back to Florida isn't even 1/3 of what they used to offer. It isn't costing them anything. ATA pulled out of these markets in accordance with Southwest Airlines, who owns a large stake in the airline. They are going back into some of them as part of their plan to better "merge" their route network with Southwest Airlines.

Last Spring break we flew SW for the 1st time, before that we always flew with ATA or United out of Chicago.
Next week we are flying with TED for $37 each way! :jumping1: Can't beat that fare! This was a last minutes decision to to back to DW to use our AP for the last time this year. :sad1:

dizkidz2 WOW $37 each way, when did you book? I still have a free ticket from ATA but it has to be used before the end of aug. and i didnt want to drive to Indy to use the ticket to fly down to mco . i better check the fare for aug . yippi.

Diz, where does TED fly out of, Ohare or Midway? I have never heard of this company before.

TED flies out of both, though from Orlando, only to O'Hare. You've heard of the company, you just don't know it. TED is part of UniTED Airlines. It is United's all-coach service, an airline within an airline.
