I just booked our flight on ATA and we used to be able to pick our seats as soon as we paid for the flight. Now it says Check In Required. Does that mean they're doing the A,B,C passes like Southwest does? :confused3

It probably means that you have to check-in either online or at the airport. Your seat selections are held until a certain time before the flight (maybe 30 mins?).

I booked with ATA a while back and was able to select my seats. I think they've changed the site around a bit whereas it used to come up automatically with a prompt asking you if you wanted to select your seats, now I believe you actually have to click a button that may not necessarily be all that visible.

The best thing I could suggest is to give ATA Customer Service a call and have them assign your seats for you.

If you haven't booked far enough out ypou can't block your seats. At least that's what I was told.

I called ATA yesterday and they were able to book my seats.
Not as close to the front as I would like so I am going to see if I can change them at the airport.
11 more days!!!
