These be the last friendly words... Possible spoilers ahead.

Since some people are saying they were confused, post your problems here and let's see if we can get them sorted out.

I don't think I found anything confusing, but I have a continuity question: If Barbosa and Jack were one each of the eight, how can Barbosa mutiny against Jack as described in CotBP? Presumably they both had their coins passed onto them from other captains.

You might want to put a spoiler tag on your title so some unsuspecting people who haven't seen the movie don't stumble in here and read something they don't want to know yet. ;) :thumbsup2

Done. I was hoping people would not have questions heading in when I first wrote it, but true, better safe than sorry.

Luckily that first post doesn't give anything away really.;)

I was wondering about the whole Barbosa being one of the nine pirate lords myself. I'm definitely gonna have to go see it again.

I was wondering too, unless it happened after he mutinied against Jack.

In other words, Jack had his one piece of eight (I think the grammar needs help here) and got mutinied by Barbossa. Then Barbossa got his from another pirate??

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense since Barbossa and Jack were both part of the original counsel (right?)...or did I get that incorrectly from the movie.

I had screaming baby next to me during the movie (not mine) so I missed quite a bit of dialogue.

One more note about spoilage:

I don't think they were part of the original council as it seemed that the only one who had been a the first convening was papa Sparrow/Keith Richards (who also seems to be immortal, right?).

I think they were at the third meeting, and the movie showed the fourth.

Movie Spoilers... **** read at your own risk! *****

okay, I didn't even think about the pieces of 8. I'm guessing that most of the current holders got them via hand downs.

the only time I felt confused was about Elizabeth's dad. Did they kill him just because he knew too much and they wanted to get rid of him? At first I was thinking they replaced Davy's heart with his, but then he'd be captain of the ship so that didn't make any sense.

Yeah, I didn't get that, either. I mean, didn't he say that he he stabbed or shot the heart? And that would make him captain of the ship, right? But when she saw him he said it meant he was doomed to wander the seas?

He wasn't killed by Davy Jones, the EITC killed him because he found the heart and then was asking about the heart..... they didn't want him to know that power they had over Davy...and he was doomed to roam the seas because Davy was no longer transporting souls that were killed at sea to the other side as Calypso had charged him to do

And that is why I was shocked (Maybe more emotional then shocked) and not so shocked about Will ending up as captain of the Dutchmen at the end. Due to the conversations and importance of honor earlier in the movie.....the one with pirate blood who had the most honor was Will and thus reinstating the original purpose for which Calypso charged the Dutchmen.

I figured after 2 Wil would get the Flying Dutchman, although I thought it would parallel Davy Jones more, scorned by Elizabeth after seeing her kiss Jack. I figured it would happen after Tia Dalma's first meeting of Wil and because of his promise to his father.

Here's another question: Do we ever really find out Jack's connection to Beckett? It seems to me Beckett was once a pirate, the way he knows everything and the way it seemed (in Beckett's quarters) like they had a past friendship almost... Maybe Beckett gave it up because he saw more profit with the EITC? "It's only business..."

That was my only unanswered question (hey, the trailers said ALL questions would be answered) IN DMC, Beckett says that he and Sparrow each left their mark upon the other. Jack's mark was the brand, so what was Beckett's mark? hopefully it will be on the DVD disc 2?

And when exactly did Jones cut out his heart? before or after Calypso betrayed him? or after he betrayed her to the brethren?

Here's my question: Do you think they left it in a way that if they so choose (if the money keep rolling in) they COULD make a 4? I read a critics opinion and he wasnt very nice about this movie and said they'd be insane to make another one. I dont agree at all. The story could go on... But maybe it's just the romantic ending I'm wishing for, so Elisabeth and Will can actually BE together...

I thought it was a great movie. Very creative.

I defintely think so: Despite the mixed reviews of critics, the (paying fans) seem to unanimously love it, as do the actors and the crew. Depp sounds ready to go already, although Keira seems to want to wait.

Actually, I think they almost forced 4 on us now: Immortality is what everyone is after and it was a running theme for Jack throughout the movie, so having the map to get to the Fountain of Youth, and protaganists in the likes of Barbosa and the crew of the Pearl... I just don't see how much how Elizabeth and Will would factor in.

Was the boy in the beginning singing the song the same boy as at the end clip after the credits?? If so why would they use the same actor??

They looked similar, but are different boys. Another board went so far as to check IMDB, but I'm not that motivated, sorry!

New Question...Why is the monkey still undead? He was cursed by the Aztec gold, but that curse was lifted...?

^Did you see the easter egg after CoTBP? Monkey is still undead cause he took an Aztec coin from the chest and never put it back.

My thoughts on Beckett and Sparrow is that they had crossed paths earlier as pirate and military. Beckett branded Sparrow so all would know he was a pirate and Sparrow escaped leaving a mark on Beckett's military record.

I want to know why they just threw in Captain Teague? Was he host to the Pirate gathering? Not alot of detail there.
