At World's End questions SPOILAGE?

I want to know after they released Calypso.....why didn't she make an appearance as some other form? Sure she probably made the storm, but why didn't she take the dead Davy Jones with her? Or save Will? I almost had a heart attack myself when Will was stabbed.

I want Will to be with his son and Elizabeth.....waiting on POC4. PLEASE

Will had his destiny as she knew, she wasn't going to touch him. I don't know whata you mean by taking Jones, or why she would have. I don't know if she loved him anymore after she found out he was the one to betray her. Maybe that's why she didn't appear any way other than the storm: She had planned on killing the pirates, but when she heard Jones was the one responsible for trapping her, I'd say she hed no loyalty to anyone and was ready to kill anyone who fell into the whirlpool.

Another question: Ir Bootstrap and the others were free of the Dutchman, ho was he able to live on it when Will took over... Or how did that all work in the first place?

I think they were free in that they were no longer bound to it, but chose to stay and crew the ship, rather than passing on. Thats my take on the situation.

Let me refine the question then: If Bootstrap is no longer part fish-man, how does he survive on the ship?

I defintely think so: Despite the mixed reviews of critics, the (paying fans) seem to unanimously love it, as do the actors and the crew. Depp sounds ready to go already, although Keira seems to want to wait.

Actually, I think they almost forced 4 on us now: Immortality is what everyone is after and it was a running theme for Jack throughout the movie, so having the map to get to the Fountain of Youth, and protaganists in the likes of Barbosa and the crew of the Pearl... I just don't see how much how Elizabeth and Will would factor in.

My guesses:

Elizabeth, Pirate King (woohoo!) will go haring off after the Dutchman in some sort of elaborate plot to free Will (possibly an exchange made between Will and his Dad?) with their kid in tow. In my head I'm calling the kid Jack Turner, but that's just because it amuses me.

or...

Elizabeth and Will will play little or no part in the Fountain of Youth adventure, but their son will hook up with Jack Sparrow and go off pirating.

I'm hoping for Elizabeth and Jack Turner going off to resuce Will.

IMDB calls him Will Jr. And IMDB does not list the name of the boy from the beginning, only from the end. He did the voice of Wilbur in the recent Charlotte's Web film.

I think we won't see her in another movie. I think it will be Jack vs Barbossa going after the Fountain of Youth.

As for Bootstrap et all, I think that originally the crew, like the captain, were no longer truly alive but didn't have to be fish people. The fish people were part of the corruption of the Dutchman. If you notice, after Will is captain it loses much of the corruption just as the crew does.

I want to know who will keep the chest safe when Elizabeth eventually passes. And will she make sure to die at sea so she can stay with Will after she dies???? After all, he will never age but she will age 10 years between each visit from him. I see the scene from Highlander where McCloud is still young and Heather is frail and elderly all over again.

Can't Will visit Elizabeth on land as long as he stands in a bucket of water?:confused3
That's what Davey did.:thumbsup2

I'll do you one better: Why does the Pirate King (Queen?) need to live life on land when her passion has always seemingly been pirates and the water?

KSDTink, would you be suggesting Bootstrap is dead then when he offers his services to Will?

But Davey turned into a "fish person" because he wasn't doing his duties. . . I think that coming to land to visit, would take him away from doing his duties on the FD.

Does she have to be on land all the time, or just at the 10 years visit?

ok i have a question that relates to the boy at the beginning...if it isnt the same boy as the end..then how did he get a coin...
also at the beginning i have heard that was the future..but it couldnt have been if beckett says finally after they began singing..im still kinda confused about the beginning after seeing it twice..lol but i love the movie and hope there is another one in 4-5 yrs..giving it a break..

The coin is meaningless -- we find that out later when they are all using trinkets or whatever they had in their pockets at the time Calypso was embodied. Beckett thinks the coins are meaningful in the beginning, as do we. The visual of the coin just ties it to the assembly of the "pieces of eight".

I think I heard if there is a #4 it won't be realeased until 2011...so yes there will be a big break inbetween. And I have also heard that both Kiera and Orlando won't be part of it (they do not want to do another movie).

She cannot be on the Dutchman because it goes underwater, though you would think she could go to sea on another ship and meet with him briefly (for several minutes, maybe) and he would not be shirking his duties ??

Ah, the unanswered questions that bother us fanatics, eh???

There's our conumdrum: That's what my question about Boostrap is about: Is he dead or alive? He should alive as he chose to become barnacle man to avoid death. So how come he can stay onoboard alive and Eizabeth can't?

Hmm, well, I'd think that technically Bill was dead as they had to be dying to be offered the option to serve on the Dutchman. "You are neither dead nor dying. What is your purpose here? " is what Jones says to Will when he first sees him, so it would seem to me that when Bill was offered the option to serve he gave up the immortality bestowed by the cursed Aztec gold so that he would not be stuck on the bottom of the ocean forever by the cannon. When he was freed from his oath to Jones he voluntarily took on an oath to the new captain, thus making him part of the crew.

As Bootstrap said, he didn't know he was immortal, besides, the curse was lifted when Will put their coin in the chest.

Davy Jones offered the dying the chance to live another 100 years, to "put off death" for that time span. That would suggest to me that they are alive. Furthermore, he killed those who wouldn't join the ship, further suggesting the crew is alive. Plus the fact that just as when the curse ended for the crew of the Pearl, the crew of the Dutchmen were seen standing along known living people in living form.

Hmmm... I think the people who were captive on the Dutchman were dead. They thought they were escaping death and acheiving immortality when the joined the dutchman instead of choosing death, but really their fate was worse, kind of like being stuck between live and death. but that's just my interpretation.

I think Bootstrap stays on the Dutchman because now it is a ship of honor, ferrying the souls lost at sea to the other side. It's no longer a pergutory or place of misery.

I don't accept the crew as dead. For one, they are offered 100 years of not death, they are not offered immortality.

Also, Will becomes part of the Dutchman's crew in Dead Man's Chest, yet he doesn't "die" until World's End.

I didn't stay for "after the credits"...can someone enlighten me and tell me what happened after? A young boy is singing? What? I missed it.
