At what point is an Annual Pass worthwhile?

We got the deluxe for our 14 day trip based on ticket prices alone. We figured out the prices of park hoppers and decided that if we were going any more than 8 days, buying the deluxe AP was worth it based on the combined prices of a 5 and 3-day park hopper together. Every day after that was essentially 'free'.

IMO you should consider admission prices and decide how many visits it would take you in total to break even on the cost of your pass. If you won't go enough that the cost of the pass would be less than if you bought tickets at the gate for each trip, then it isn't worth it imo. Once you hit that or pretty close to it, then start considering the food discounts, but leave that as your last deciding factor.

And now, if you're able to return to Anaheim, you can go any time in the following 12 months without having to re-purchase tickets. This is my favorite thing about APs. We had them one year, and we were close enough to drive for a day or 2 trip, so we went several more times after our initial trip and then again for a vacation before they expired. When we wanted to go the next year it was a bummer having to buy tickets (APs weren't in the cards that year) and knowing that it just wasn't as great of a deal as an AP. We weren't able to get many short trips with this years APs, but it was still cheaper than purchasing tickets last year and this year, and we did get a few more days out of it.

^^ much more reasonable when you go alone and stretch and appetizer and the amazing bread bowl and a side of HEAVENLY roasted brussels sprouts into a meal... with a lovely beverage of course!
