At what point do you get your APs?

When do you get your APs?
We are getting married during free dining (Aug 2011....I hope) and in order to get the free dining we have to have a package, so I could just book the 8 nights and then pay for 2 day MYW tickets and then just use our APs for the remainder of our trip IF we get them before the trip, right?

OR should I just save the APs and activate them in Nov '11, I can do that right? Then they would be good thru Nov '12.

What have you all done?
Id also have buy DD APs, how much are children's APs and when can I purchase them?

You just get vouchers after you've signed your contract which you can exchange for tickets whenever you want, you do not have to use them for your wedding.

We are doing the same as you....buying a package for free DDP for the wedding trip and then using the APs for a trip the year after in November time to enjoy Christmas at WDW

We received our AP vouchers yesterday, signed our contract on Oct 4th. We are getting married on May 16, 2011, unfortunately free dining is not offered our week I actually called Disney a few weeks ago, and they changed our reservation to passholders with dining so we aren't purchasing ANY MYW park tickets, since we will be activating our AP's at guest relations when we check in. I will be calling again tomorrow to make our dining, and will confirm what we were told, that you do NOT need a MYW ticket for dining, just your resort stay with your KTTW card. Hope this helps

Yes, the only time you need to buy a Magic Your Way ticket for dining is when you want to take advantage of FREE dining.

Yes, you can use the APs as many times as you'd like during the year they're active.

We got our APs a month after we sent in our signed LOA.
