I am wondering if there comes a point when you can actually trust the information on accuweather. KWIM?? We leave in 1 week, and I'm dying to pack, but I am not sure how close we have to get before I can really believe them.

Man, I sound obsessive boarding on being committed, don't I!?!?!?!?!?

After WDW, we are on the 12/12 Wonder, if anyone has any insight on that weather, too! Perhaps a reliable crystal ball...

www.wftv.com is a local station here. They are pretty accurate in their weather forecasting.

It's going to cool down the next several days but then back up to the high 70's. After tonight not much chance of rain in the next week.

The science is such that nothing much beyond the next two days should be taken as accurate. I have confidence in tomorrow, I take the day after with a 'well, probably' attitude but I have no trust beyond that. One exception in these latitudes is a satellite photo of a hurricane bearing down on Fl. That's not going to happen anytime soon. I'd go to weather.com, get the map of the whole US, put the map in motion and see where the weather systems are coming from, hoping you don't see much green headed your way.

I agree. For my trip this past May, I obsessed over the forcasts that said it would be cloudy/thunderstorms the whole time we were in WDW. In reality, it was sunny and beautiful and rained only one day for about an hour out of 10 days. -Stephanie

I've found accuweather to be very erratic. You check in the morning it looks good, you check in evening it looks bad. I would trust weather.com first or one of the local stations.

I've gotten jammed with Accuweather in the past, so I don't trust it far out. The forecast called for high 70s all week, and on our last day it didn't get out of the 50s! It makes it hard to pack, but just make sure you have a little of everything and you should be fine.

Thank you all! I'll try weather.com. Where I live, the weather is relatively the same day after day. We're not used to having to check the weather! Dramatic changes don't generally happen, it's more a slow gradual shift for us.

I don't trust any forecast! No matter what it says, I always pack stuff for hot, cold and rain! IMHO there is nothing worse than being in the happiest place on earth and not having the right clothes! (Also sometimes quite expensive! Before I learned my lesson about packing we had to buy 3 fleeces in MK one night. We were freezing! :earboy2:

I don't trust accuweather. The forecast are extremely unpredictable to me. I check weather.com right before we leave and plan off of that

Is there a way to really "put the map in motion" and watch the weather move?
