At Vistana right now.....

Hi all,
Checked my in-laws into Vistana (let them use our week as we're at OKW resort). They arrived on 8/5 and were placed in Fountains I, villa 1434. Nice water and partical pool view. Work being done to replace Fountain roofs right now. Just a little noise noticed. Unit in very good shape. New carpets, new paint, new pictures on walls, living room sofa/chair seem new. Happy with condition. We had read how they were handing out Jello shots and balloons on the DIS but witnessed none of this on Fri 8/5. Heading out now as internet is .20 cents a minute here in the cybernet cafe.

We were also there at the same time, check in 8/4 - no problem at all. we were placed in cascades and loved it. Also, work going on power washing and painting. Room very clean. Next time I would like to try fountains or lakes, but very, very, lucky to have gotten cascades on first visit.

luvdisney How was your stay? Did your boys like the Vistana? Glad you got a unit that you liked. We really like the Fountains section. Nice pool and a bit quieter than the main area.

We were in cascades and loved it, I really enjoyed the pool area. My boys loved the resort and the fact that the room was so big. I have to agree about fountains area just by visiting it for a day. Cascade's pool is always crowded and noisy.

all the parks at least 3 in the morning, and 2 returning (AK),

studios 2 in the monring - 4 returning

Epcot - 3 in the morning - 4 returning

MK - 4 in the morning - one returning????

super walmart if about 5 minutes away. The resort with give you directions to publix, it is right before publix. The gasoline is also cheaper near super walmart.

As luvdisney stated, it's maybe 5 min away. When exiting the resort, make a right on SR 535. I believe it was 2 lights we went through and it's on the right side.

As for the shuttles. They are about half the size of a regular bus. We didn't witness many people using them. One morning there was a group of about 6 people waiting for one near the lobby. The shuttles do have a set schedule though I'm not sure of the exact times. I recall there being maybe 3 departure times in the morning and maybe 2-3 returning times in the evening. This was about 3 years ago when I checked. Not sure if that's changed or not.

I just rented a 1BR in Cascades from a Vistana owner. Is there a particular building we should request?

Hi Diane !
Spiceycat is right. You got a great section. May I ask what day of the week you're checking-in on ? Some buildings are very close to the Cascades pool, while others are a bit of a hike. But it all depends on if you check-in on a Fri/Sat/Sun. You could simply request "close to pool" if that is your desire.

We just returned, cascades is nice but lakes and fountains seemed good too.
