At the park now, FP+ lines are snaking through the park

And really... have none of you ever hit an attraction with paper FP right at the return time and encountered a bottleneck like this? Or during EMH when they were checking KTTW cards? It seems like the scan points may be creating a similar phenomenon.

Nope. Never. Honestly.

I'm truly floored at the Twitter pics.

Have you seen the new WDW commercials? Making it look like people are getting something new and exciting. They were done so well, I almost believed it.

Almost. I'll be spending this years vacation money at Universal. Jury is out on next year....

Hopefully staying on site, otherwise have to pay a hefty sum for express pass at us. Looking forward to us and wdw this year ourselves. Hope you have a great vacation.

It really wasn't much work at all. For example, at EP yesterday, we had a FP+ for Mission Space, got there and saw the standby line was 5 minutes. They actually didn't even have the FP+ system on there because the line was so short, so I immediately went on my phone, switched the FP+ to Nemo and rode Mission Space standby. It was super easy and that meant we had zero wait for Nemo as well. It was great! So, my suggestion, if you choose a FP+ and find you don't need it when you get to the ride, switch it out for something else before that FP+ window closes! Took me about 15 seconds to switch them out and never wasted an FP+

The bolded is a great example of why this system makes me a little ill. Epcot and FP are now a waste of time with tiers.

I have tried the system, and trying to keep track of 10 people in our group with the app was not easy or fun. Meeting up with people staying off site... Not convenient.

Love first world problems. ;)

Seeing how we're not likely to discuss how to avoid bacillary dysentery or genocide on a theme park message board, that's likely the only kind you're going to see here.

Yea agree. Just find it awesome that our worst problem is how FP+ is ruining our lives. If that is the worst then most of us have a pretty amazing life. Just trying to show some perspective. I know I am insane for even trying. Main reason just not worried about + or - or tiers. I am still going to have a great time because I am at disney with family and we will smile more than be upset. It is all in your outlook. Your/our choice.

:confused3 Who has said anything about FP+ ruining their life or being the worst thing that could happen to them?
There is alot more to life than Disney ;)

I talked to a cm today when I called
To make final payment on our vacation.
I asked about this FP system and he told
Me that depending on the number of
Complaints they get ect will determine on weather or not they go back to the old system.
So those of you who have had bad experiences the best thing to do is call and complain.
Hopefully things will get better.

Definitely more to life than disney or insert theme park here. How you go into your vacation will many times determine how good your vacation will be.

What about the people that have gone and like the new system? What should they do?

Wait there are people who like the new system? I must have missed the memo.

I don't really see this going away. No matter how much complaining is done. They've spent too much money to just be like, "Oh well, people don't like it. It was a bad idea. Let's throw billions of dollars down the drain and just return to the old system."

I think if anything, they are just telling people that to pacify them if they aren't happy. Kind of a "Don't tell me you are unhappy. Call this person or turn in this review, and we will thoughtfully consider your complaints or concerns." This gets the unhappy person out of the CMs hair without anyone actually committing to doing anything officially.

They have dug a hole I don't think they could get out of even if they wanted to. Too much time and money was spent getting it all set up and changed over to back down now.

FP+ was not billions of dollars in itself. More a biproduct of MyMagic+. Theoretically they could abandon FP+ and still receive benefits from MyMagic+ but I'd doubt that would happen.

Here's the thing. I don't remember discussing FP return wait times much before 2012. That says something to me all by itself.

Just getting through this threat right now...
This is the most accurate thing I've read so far! Well said!

Yes, me. I'm the majority. I'm not talking about the thousands of other posts saying the system sucks.

No, actually, you're not. The majority are the millions of people who visit WDW every year and have never, ever visited or posted on the DIS boards. The millions of one-time WDW visitors who probably don't have an opinion one way or another and don't obsess about Disney every single day of their lives. Do you seriously think the people on these boards are the "voice of the people"? About 17 million people visit WDW every year. DIS posters are an eensy weensy drop in Disney's bucket. I really don't think Disney cares what we think. You mention "the thousands of other posts" - thousands of posts from, what, maybe a hundred people, posting repeatedly? Voice in the wilderness.
