AT&T wireless users. A question...

Is it possible to send an email to an AT&T wireless phone using just their phone number?

I have nextel and I can send an email to my phone like this:

9995551212@messaging.nextel.com as the send to address.

Is it possible to send an email to an AT&T phone in a similar manner?

The way it used to work was put the phone number before @mobile.att.net

It's been a long time since I've tried it but that was how it worked a couple of years ago.

Thanks Bill. Nextel has been that way for a couple of years too. I can't imagine them changing it too often.

I looked on their website but didn't see anything about sending an email to the phone. There's instructions on how to use the phone to IM and email.

Yep...you used to also be able to send text messages to AT&T Wireless users from the at&t website...I think it is www.attws.com ?
