AT&T or Verizon?

Yes, I am devoted! A devoted, crazy WDW fan!

Actually, I'm trying to figure out which iPad to buy, Verizon or AT&T, and since WDW is one of the few places that I will actually need to have cellular coverage to use it (at home and at work I'll be on wi-fi) I might as well buy the one that has the best cellular coverage at WDW!!

I should have mentioned it was in consideration of an iPad, but I know there will be a lot more folks out there with iPhone experience in the parks than iPad experience (and up until now iPad has been AT&T only anyway) and I didn't want to drive them away.

Much thanks to you and everyone else responding for your help -- it is appreciated!

If you are looking at the iPad you should wait for the iPad 2 that is expected out soon, especially if you want Verizon. This will be the first iPad Verizon offers with built in 3G (or perhaps LTE).

Hmmmmm, we were there in November with our IPhone 4's and we did literally tons of e-mailing pictures and uploading to Facebook and never had a minutes trouble.

Same here with AT&Tin WDW. :thumbsup2 In some other places... not so much!

More importantly, when I'm in Caldwell, my AT&T service works fine, as does it throughout North Jersey and along the I-78 corridor when I am commuting from PA. Both Verizon and AT&T drop crossing the river.

I grew up in Cedar Grove! I live in PA now and miss NJ sometimes!

Wow, I grew up in Caldwell! And, as you probably both saw in my user info summary, still live there! it's a small world!

Verizon! We had Sprint before we moved here from NC. Sprint didn't work well here, it kept loosing signal and roaming.

We got Verizon and LOVE it, just renewed our 2 yr. contract 2 days ago actually, lol.

It's funny because the man who helped us was laughing and talking about how awful AT & T service was, and that he used to work for AT&T and the service was the worst.

That's exactly why I posted. iPad 2 announced this past Wednesday, on sale next Friday, 3/11, and I'm deciding whether to get the AT&T version or Verizon version.

And I'm so glad I posted! Everyone here has been so helpful, as always. Thanks so much!

I've had the iPhone for years and on occasion have had dropped calls in my WDW resort rooms and on certain rides. ( I shouldn't post from the ride I know.) :confused3
I bought the iPad 2 wifi and ordered the mifi hub from AT&T. I'm taking it all to WDW in a month and hope that the coverage is as great as it is at home.
I saved the $129 3G fees and have 3GBs of mifi for $35 a month. I can connect up to 5 devices on the mifi. I really only use it for traveling as I have wifi at home and work.
