At SSR now and guess what I saw?

We stayed in the Springs section a couple of weeks ago. We saw a couple of otters (looked like the one in Mickeyfollower's picture) in the water just behind the Springs bus stop. The were in the grass area on the sides of the water, didn't see them go any farther up the sides.

I would rather hope your spotting is an otter and not a bobcat/jaguar type of critter. Wouldn't want to meet up with that on an evening stroll.

I'm thinking it might have been an otter also. I've seen them a few times around SSR. They are so cute!

NO it was not down by the water it was up by my room door and then walked down the walkway and along the walk way and then toward the playground when someone else came down the walkway if it had been an otter it would have headed back to the water to the right not to the left away from the water ...it had longer legs than an otter and was not brown. It could have been a bobcat don't have picture of that but did look like the jagarundi picture in the link someone else posted.

Definitely a chupacabra. Let us know if you find that any of the various horse sculptures around SSR have been eviscerated.

I'm impressed! Most folks have never heard of the chupacabra. We have "possible" reports of them every few years here in TX.

Those chupacabras are really starting to get around. Good thing OP didn't get too close to it. Never know when it might develop a taste for human blood.

Love the chupacabra ref. I work with a few guys from Puerto Rico and they often refer to mgmt as chupacabra, lol!!

it may have been a bobcat(?)
we live near WDW and we see bobcats once in a while, especially in the woodsy marsh areas. they look like large, very tall gray or brown domestic cats, but slinkier and nasty. they don't seem to be afraid of people.
I wouldn't be comfortable with it near the playground! :scared1:
I googled bobcat and there are many images, but the ones we've seen in central Florida have been gray or brown, not the spotted leopard types.

Now, that's not a word you see commonly used or in conjunction with Disney! :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

Fairies sprinkling pixie dust... chupacabras eviscerating plaster horses.

It's all part of the disney magic! :upsidedow

Most "chupacabra" reports come from San Antonio, south to Laredo, in the rural areas.
