We are on our first ever DVC trip we are using DP points from buying AKV last July.

Let me tell you that so far this trip has been totally awesome.

We checked in on Saturday, April 11 at 2:30pm We were originally assigned to the Paddock section but I asked if there was anything closer and the relocated us to the Grandstand we are right near the pool but in the corner of the first building from the carriage house and the room was ready then. Totally awesome room in really good condition.

We are loving our DVC one bedroom.Yesterday we walked over to downtown disney and shopped and at dinner on the patio of the Rainforest Cafe as they had no wait on the patio.

Today Easter Sunday, we were up early and headed to Animal Kingdom we arrived right after RD and headed to EE and got some fast passes. We then took my son to ride what I term Dinosaur Dumbo and DD and DH rode primeval whirl, then headed back to ride Everest and then to get some charachter autographs. DD did not want to do the safari so we went back to our hotel to relax.

After relaxing we went to Epcot for our dinner at Tutto Italia which was totally awesome. We then walked around the world. Oh and then we actually rode on Figment, Nemo and Spaceship earth before heading back to SSR.

I just set up the wireless internet so figured I would post here and let you know we have not really been affected by any crowds and the buses here at SSR are really great so far.

Up tomorrow Magic Kingdom.

How wonderful! It sounds like you're having lots of fun! That's great!

Thanks for the report! Enjoy your trip! :)

Glad to hear you are having a good time. We also liked Tutto Italia :)

Thanks for the TR, look forward to reading more. We'll be at SSR in 30 days. Just curious what did you need to do to get wireless internet?

A modem. I bought the same make and model as I use at home and it was plug and play for our laptops. It was simple.

Wow - you were able to move from Paddock to Grandstand. That's great. Either SSR isn't full or you got really lucky!! Enjoy your trip and thanks for taking the time to post a report.

Thanks for the report. We had our first DVC stay at SSR last November, we had a 2 bdrm and thanks to DVC were able to take my mom along with us:cool1:. She hadn't been to WDW since 1979 and my kids were absolutely thrilled that they were able to take her with us (she now has a standing invite, all she has to do is say can I go this time:lmao:). I was really nervous about SSR since so many seem to dislike it but we loved it and had a great time!!

Actually what you have is a router - just to avoid confusion for others that may want to go wireless when they are in their DVC rooms.

I dont think they are very full. Ive been checking the availability post and there are hardly any days at SSR that are totally booked. Im hoping that it will be easy to choose where I want my studio to be. :woohoo:

Thank you for sharing and enjoy your trip!!!! We love the Grandstand area and it sounds like you are even in our favorite building....have fun and gather up as much pixie dust as you can to take home with you.

Thanks for your TR! I hope you and your family enjoy the rest of your trip! Looking forward to reading more!!

Thank you for taking the time to post-have a wonderful time! Looking forward to hearing more!

Cogero, I'm so glad you started this thread. We always head to WDW in May. (We'll be at BCV this year) Next year, we may have to change that to April, during this time, which is also spring break here in New England. We've been to WDW during April break and I said never again - too, too crowded. Next year, however, our only option could be April. Keeping us posted on crowd levels, etc. is a huge help for those of us planning for next year. :thumbsup2

And I'm glad you're in the grandstand section. SSR is our home resort and it's the only section we've ever stayed in - by request. We love the pool in that area. It's so large compared to other resorts "small" pools.

I hope you have good weather and keep enjoying your trip. :goodvibes Please keep us posted.
