We are staying at OKW and we found out our first night...Sunday night during the fireworks at Epcot that our family dog Lilly had died while at home with the house sitter. It wasn't a horrible shock because she has had some problems...(diabetic etc.) but, we were all crying as anyone who has beloved pet/family members can understand. We feel guilty because we were not with her.
On Monday I woke up with a smashing headache and now everyone in the family except my 5 yr old DD has fevers of 101 and we are all miserable! Even our four month old has this! My DD had this a few days ago and it only lasted for about 36 hours-so we do not think that it is the flu.
We are trapped in our rooms and we are in disbelief that we are at WDW and cannot do anything. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we could do in our rooms?? I thought maybe watch movies and make popcorn (we have a 2br with a kitchen). I also just wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else has had this happen....it is our third day and we have not done anything except walk through Epcot on our first day....

I"m so sorry to hear about your dog and getting sick. I hope that it passes soon and you get get back to your trip.

I'm so sorry!

We've had our share of sickness at Disney over the last few trips. Last trip (December) DD15 had the stomach bug that was going around Disney at the time (had to call mousekeeping to clean up after her) and DH came down with a horrible case of strep throat :sad2: . In June same DD had been fighting a cold/upper respiratory infection before the trip that turned into pneumonia & strep throat once we arrived :scared: If you think you might need a Dr, send me a PM and I can recommend someone to call that will come to your room. It really stinks to be sick on vacation :sad1: Take it easy, drink lots of fluids & eat as best you can and hopefully you'll all feel better soon. :goodvibes

Things to do while in the Villa:
Movies & popcorn (can rent movies at Community Hall)
Play cards
soak in the jacuzzi tub :thumbsup2
sit on the balcony and watch the golfers go by (if you have a view of the course)
