At OKW and LOVE it

We checked into OKW yesterday. Online check in was smooth. We ate in villa 1323, in the hospitality house area. Beautiful view of golf course with a pond. We are in a renovated 2 bedroom. It is spacious and beautiful. Having a great time enjoying the magic of Disney.

I love staying at OKW. Make sure that you take time to take the boat to DTD during your stay. The ride is just beautiful and you may see some wildlife. It's also fun at night when all of the lights from the resorts reflect off the water.

I'll be there in Dec. with my family. It's still my favorite DVC. Now that the trees have lost their leaves in New England I want to see palm trees.

Don't forget to eat at Olivia's for either breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. It is one of the best kept secrets at WDW. Great food, better service and usually not crowded at all.

Was on LBV golf course this past week which goes thru OKW, it peaked my interest in staying there. Looked very nice and peaceful.

We stayed at OKW twice and enjoyed it. I will admit that our initial switch was to save points, but we really enjoyed our stay. I dont like being teased with the golf course, I love golf and have played LBV (pre child days), but now with our daughter I dont feel right about cutting out part of a family vacation to play golf.

The one thing I have to say is that OKW does not have the wow factor of some of the other resorts, but it has its own vibe, relaxed and laid back. I do like it there, and the large rooms are a bonus.

I reallyy need to stay there! And I should try out Olivia's on my next trip and check out the resort while I'm there...maybe take the boat over to DTD to have a YUMMYYY ice cream sundae from Ghiradelli....

OKW is our home resort since "93 and have spent many of nights there. Is still my favorite resort. Enjoy!

We are arriving in 10 days for our very first stay at Old Key West for 8 nights and am nervous about it but everyone seems to really like it. We usually stay at the Beach Club and although I'm happy about the change, hubby is not- (he loves the Beach Club) Either way, we're at Disney, what could be better?!

We will be spending Christmas at OKW. I am terrified. This is our first time at OKW and our first time in a 2bd. I am terrified we will never be able to go back to a 1bd. Will be at AKV in 2 weeks and really wish it was going to be OKW but wanted to give DGD a chance to stay somewhere different this trip since it is just the two of us for the first 4 nights and then her mother joins us for the last one before we go to HRH for 1 night. She is 24 and I am thrilled she wants to spend time with grandma - She get her masters in June and then plans to spend some time in Australia so really wanted to make this trip special for her.

OKW is our favorite resort. We have a one bedroom booked at the end of the month, and a grand villa next Sept. Lots to look forward to.
