at nearly 1/2 a century old, I feel like a kid ..

I will be almost 50 years old on the next trip to Disney. (nov 2012), but I just booked a GV at SSR and called Disneys catered events to try to book a desert party. I am so excited I feel just like when I first got engaged over 30 years ago.
It's been a tough year. It is nice to have something exciting to look forward to.
I will be continuing to read all you ladies (and gentlemen)s posts. They are so helpful to me as I've been trying to decide what I want to do to celebrate DH and my anniversary. I would consider doing a trip report, but I am afraid it would be awfully boring, as we are keeping it VERY simple.
Well wishes and prayers you all have the wedding and more importantly marriage of your dreams.

Congratulations!!! Sounds like a great trip!!
I am in the very early stages of planning my 50th too!! I have two friends who turn 50 in the same year, and the plan is (at the moment - subject to change) to fly to NY, spend a couple of days there, pick up a DCL ship and cruise along the cost of Canada, and finally fly from NY to WDW for a week or so. I am also thinking of a DP and maybe a celebratory photo session with Randy for me and my friends. We are calling it our 'Nifty Fifty Fiesta'. The official planning starts after Christmas, and I can't wait to get started on it. I really miss planning now that our VR is over!!!

Congratulations! I am so excited for you. I think you wil have so much fun, and what a great memory. And hey, I think it's pretty amazing that you can still get that "just engaged" feeling after so long...I'm sure it's not just the WDW magic...I'm betting there's something pretty magical already with you and DH...

thanks everyone. I got a call today from private events. Looks like it will be Nov. 10, 2012. DP at UK pubside. I am so excited. I look forward to seeing what kind of surprises I can twist into this for my dh and our kids.
