or even better, I love to give my DD a big blow a kiss drama of " how am I gonna make it today without you". I just got to have that early morning "eye roll" from her!!!

That's great! I can just picture it! And one day she'll do the same to her kiddos!
Anyone else get tickled that your kids become "little yous" and we become like our moms?

Of course that doesn't apply to Lisa & Buffy! Their moms are wonderful!

For me, it's more like my Mom (wow, I miss her) used to just laugh as my kids (especially DS16) acted like me. She would laugh and laugh saying "Shades of Debbie"

But the first time I said "because I said so" I just stopped...wasn't that the thing my mom said that I swore I would never say? O M G I've become my mom!!

I said the same thing, I would never say that but at one point I did and my response was the same as you, OMG I've become my mom! LOL

Yep! I've so used the line because I said so... and though crap "I'm my mother" I even uttered it outloud...to which my DS12 then at the time said "no you aren't.. your teeth are clean, not yellow!".. ERR so glad my mom wasn't around... but my mother and I are NIGHT/DAY in the parenting aspect.. I'm involved w/ all my kids (including stepsons)...she on the otherhand..has her world revolving around only my sister..and me when she wants something from me!

I usually stopped there when driving from TX to WDW or the return trip.

Yup, The Scrapbook Market is closing. She sent an e-mail out yesterday saying that she's done lots of thinking and soul searching and after 9 years it's time to close. She didn't say exactly when they'll close, but they will start their closing sales this Thursday so I guess it'll close pretty soon.

Hugs TRM!!! I know those are trying times... I'd write more but I have to leave for my DS's XC meet a town away.. But I so know how you are feeling.. I've had those same feelings before.. NOW, I won't let my DH leave his current job.. he has it good... he still looks..but he doesn't tell me until I get a phone call for the "entertaining" of his options BS he feeds me!

oh tinkryansmom it must be so hard. you want whats best for your family and yet you don't want to be uprooted and make a big move. oh boy. what a decision that is. i'm so sorry that you are going through this. i wish i could help with better advice, but please know that we are all here with you.

I can so very much indentify with you on all of this. Take solace in that no matter where you move we will be right there with you. I found that my daily dis fix was more important in my earliest times in a new place. I knew I had friends here I could depend on and be with even in the midst of the uncertainty of the move.

I feel your pain! We lost our last 2 LSSs in Feb and April 2007.
So sorry for your upcoming loss.

We took a nice pay cut, but somehow it has all worked out, seems like we are better than before financially and DH comes home in the best mood! So I just know that everything will work out for the best for you guys. Hang in there, I know how you feel and just know you can vent away to us!

Lisa it's not a big move. It would be a couple hours from here - home - but not commutable. DH family is right near there too. It's just gonna be hard to leave here.

Ashley! I knew you were right here with me. I remember your DH changing jobs. I am so happy it has all worked out for you and your family.

Part of the problem is just making the transition. He has to make the decision and I have to handle the rest. Moving, housing, schools, utilities, buying, renting or building, what to do with our current house, the market stinks, etc. etc. We women carry alot!! Just keeps my mind from ever settling down you know??

If this does happen and a job offer comes through and he accepts then it is looking like he will be there M-F and I will remain here with the girls until probably the end of the year. DD is in school and I coach her soccer team and I refuse to quit on them. Its important to me. It will give us a little time to decide the housing issues but it will still be a monumental undertaking as is moving. It will be hard. But happy Daddy is good and he will be home an extra 2.5 hours a day due to a shorter commute.
