Today I need to:

Pick up DH at the car place...truck in the shop done, and got breakfast out with DH too!!

Go with DS20 to glass store to pick out glass for 1yr anniv givtie for his way too cute DGF nope, he's broke, and I'm not paying

BBQ chicken for dinner marinading

Today:

The kids decided it's too hot to go to the park program.. @ 9am it's already 76 degrees.. espected 89 today! I've told DS12 to take his drink w/ him on to the soccer field and any time he is thirsty stop and go get a drink.. it's camp not a game.. last thing we need is a hospital stay due to dehydration! Plus I will go out at noon and take him fresh COLD drinks....and lunch.. he said the even w/ ice packs and the AC on in the trailor out there the food still tasted gross..

pick up DS12 @ 4pm unless storms hit done no storms just HEAT!
email DH about concert for free I want to attend @ the state fair.. Yep, our local country stage offers a free stage.. done and booked!

I'm comin to live with you Nancy! 89 sounds heavenly! If we don't hit 100 today it will be 99 at least.

1- try to make it to playdate with Mom's group (it starts at 10 and both kids are still asleep....it's 9:15) we made it and were only 15 minutes late.
2- go to BIL's for a swim done- I'm exhausted kids arent
3- make flip flops
4- recover the house for the dinner party last night
5- make bed

I can't do flip flops. Having something stuck between my toes is just sooo annoying. Although I do like the slap slap slapping sound when people walk in them. (anyone picture the Jimmy Neutron voting for class president episode in their head?)

I pretty up flip flops! I tie grosgrain ribbon on them- kind of a support my scrappin habit. So, no, they arent the same ones! LOL! Man, AWM, I don't know what I would do without my flip flops! They are a staple here in Austin.

That last line is SO me! I am notorious for getting in a "fit" (although, it's usually a well-deserved fit for whoever put me in it ) and throwing all sorts of stuff away while I'm cleaning!!

Can I just do a little dance of joy (ok, a BIG dance of joy) at number 1 on that list?!?!?! I can't wait to see the baby book!!! And to think, in 3-4 weeks, I'll have pics of the baby to put in it!!!

Ashley--I have to agree on the flipflop thing!! I LOVE them. . .I don't know what I'd do without them. I have seen some of the ones with the ribbon tied around them. . .I love them! I have to figure out how to do that--I'm a ribbon girl!

po3--no working!! Only DIS-ing!! Work should realize that DIS-ing makes us happy, and happy people are more productive, right?!? My work hasn't figured that out yet, either!!

Oops! I rattled on in my previous post (this is nothing new, I know!) and I didn't post my list!

Here we go:

1. Go sign FMLA papers for maternity leave--DONE
2. Take baby clothes to my mom for her to see--DONE
3. Take pics of shower to my mom--DONE
4. Get reunion DVD from my mom to fix for her--DONE
5. Exchange one gift--DONE
6. Nap (DH got up at 4 a.m., so I got up at 4 a.m.)--DONE
7. Chili for dinner
8. Put stamps on thank you notes
9. Have DH load my car
10. Watch SYTYCD results show (I'm so excited--with no work tomorrow, I can actually stay up and watch the whole thing!!)

Nancy--I hope DS didn't get too miserably hot at soccer! It was 92 here when I left my mom's (around noon). This heat and I are NOT bonding!!

Nancy--I hope DS didn't get too miserably hot at soccer! It was 92 here when I left my mom's (around noon). This heat and I are NOT bonding!!

He was ringing wet...but he did listen to mommy and took his frozen drink with him..he said it thawed out faster than our Disney waters did! He said they had florida rain too.. a whopping 2 minute shower and than hot again..

Ooh, that would be cool! I'm a visual learner, too, which is why I've never figured out how to do it. My directions came from a girl I used to coach who graduated this year, and they consisted of, "and there's some ribbons, and you cut them, and then blah, blah, blah, and they're done!"

Ooooooo!! A flip flop class!! I tried to make beaded ones, but I didn't like the way they turned out. Then a woman at the senior center where I teach was wearing some that had loopy yarn...they were cute too....
