SIOH: You only have 10 days left! Holy cow! We go until June 12. Not too many days left for us...

So...yesterday I was soooo busy (how busy were you...LOL) that I didn't even get to make a list...here is today's list...

Nothing else yet, though... DD had a play date after school and then DS had one too! Finally work is done, the kids are all calm and it is time to make dinner! Yikes!

I would love it! But, alas, it is soccer and moving day for my brother and I am doing the Race for the Cure on Sunday. Just not enough hours! :)

Why did SIOB have a meltdown? We know it wasn't you! :rolleyes1 But shopping with two boys will do that to a woman.

Of course it wasn't me!! :rotfl2: I have 3 different events at school this coming week--scholarship night, class night, and graduation--where not-normal-sized me must stand up at a podium in front of a gym full of people and present stuff. So, DH offered to take me to Motherhood Maternity to get some black pants. I needed some that looked dressy, but weren't "stretch" material (thighs like mine don't work with "stretch"!!). I explained this to the lady who worked there (she was not a smallish woman either--not that that matters, but it helps with the other part of the story). I told her that I probably needed capris, b/c I didn't have time to get full length pants hemmed (nor would I have much occasion to wear them this summer). So, she picks out 2 pairs of full-length pants. Um, no, that's ok. Capris, maybe? She asks what size I want. I said, "Well, probably L or XL, depending on the fabric" (again a tush/thigh issue, plus I can't stand really fitted clothes). She gives me 2 pairs, and then she goes, "Well, I really think this pair here would be the best. They have some stretch in them." I said, "They're full-length, and I don't have a chance to get them hemmed" (I was being really, really nice--even DH said so!! ;) ). She said, "What about a petite?" I said, "Not so much with the petite sizing and the thighs". So, the lady walks over to the rack where that pair of pants (the ones that won't work) are and says, "See, here. . .try these. They're a PETITE MEDIUM!!!" Then, she just had this little grin on her face. So, I left. Yep, left. Didn't buy a thing. I griped about it the whole way through the mall, and then I went in the dressing room at another store and cried! It's funny now, but it wasn't then!

See, this is what the 2-boy shopping trips do!! ;)

oh i'm so sorry brooke. but shopping with 2 boys will do that to ya!!!!!
just to prepare ya!!!! my little man HATES to shop!!!!

do you have a jc penny? i did really well there when i was preg. of course that was 6 years ago.

i don't do the stretchy thing either. & i can't do the fitted thing too! i wish i could be there with you to help you find something.

i just know that you'll find something and you'll end up looking great!!

TARGET!
They have the cutest maternity stuff.

Old Navy does on line, but I don't know if their stuff is in their box stores or not.

Wow! Maternity stores should only be allowed to hire people that know what they are doing and make you feel like a million dollars. You already don't feel fantastic with your body (in my experience) and then to have someone that is less than capable try to help is just unacceptable. I majored in retail in college and was an assistant store manager for awhile so I am so impatient with bad customer service. You lasted and were much nicer than I would have been! HUGS!!!!

Brooke, so sorry that you had such a terrible experience!! It's a shame that sales woman didn't listen better! Good luck finding your pants. Hopefully you will have a better sales person next time!

Sending some PD :tinker:
