Garlic cream cheese pork chops sound awesome! What time should we be there??? :lmao:

I *thought* today would be a deep cleaning day, but BFF called at 7:15 to invite me to Costco...and since Michael's is right next door AND I have a 50% off coupon........well, you know my answer:). ETA: I spent a whopping $.53 at M's and RAKed my coupons to the people behind me in line.

Still, I got a few things done and will have time to do more. So far I have already:

-cleaned 1/2 bath
-emptied dishwasher
-washed hand washable dishes
-dusted and swept first floor

Left to do:

-make beds DONE
-assemble letters for next scrap page DONE
-fold and put away whites DONE
-dust stairs
-vacuum 2nd floor

Have a grand day, everyone!

Okay, Buffy, how does one make garlic cream cheese pork chops? All my favorite ingredients, how could I not like it?:goodvibes

1 1/2 lbs pork tenderlion (I use boneless chops)
1 tbls oil
1 tbls sesame seeds
1 tbls margarine or butter
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped (I use minced garlic out of the jar)
1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, cut into cubes
1/3 cup milk
1 tbls chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon freeze dried chives

1. Cut pork into 1/2 in slices (I just shlep the chops on a pan)

2. set oven control to broil. Brush oil over pork. Place pork on rack in broiler pan. Sprinkle with half of the sesame seeds. Broil pork chops with tops 4-6 inches from heat 6 minutes; turn. Sprinkle remaining seed. Broil about 5 more minutes. (Wing it if you are using chops)

3. Meanwhile, melt butter in 10 inch skillet over medium heat. Cook garlic in butter about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened; reduce heat to low. (be careful for splatter, garlic hurts! and make sure the garlic doesn't burn)

4. Stir cream cheese and milk into garlic mixture (A fork works best). Cook about 1 minute, stirring constantly, until smooth and hot. Stir in chives. Serve with pork.

I usually make mashed potatoes with it.

OMG does that sound delish!!!!!
i have to copy that for when i'm looking for something new!
thanks

I had to get that stuff done before 9:15.....BFF was coming to pick me up and there was NO WAY I was letting her in the door without cleaning first! Fear of humiliation is quite a motivator for me:rotfl2: .
