Rebecca, I hope you get to feeling better. How was Disney yesterday? I'm sure you had fun, how could you not!!! Did you get to try out the Kim Possible hunt thing? How was it? That's one of things I want to try out when we go down at the end of the month.
Disney was fun but tiring as I was starting to get a cold/something and I was there all day- since DH dropped me off on his way to class at 8:15 and picked me up on his way home 9:50.
I really enjoyed the Kim Possible missions. They were fun and they had lots of interaction. They have 7 different missions in different countries and after you do the one you are assigned to begin with you can turn in your Kimmunicator or choose which country next. I did the missions in Mexico (assigned), China (it was close by and while waiting for my time I had seen people working on the Norway mission, and then france (I wanted a snack at the bakery).
Each mission involves you finding particular spots in the country (using a picture and info on the screen) and then doing something there. They have things in the country that interact with you. They also have a help button that gives you a hand in finding the place you are looking for. It was neat and made me look at things I hadn't noticed in the countries before. It also can shock those around you. For example in Mexico at one point a Parrot in the market talks when you push a button. There were people nearby who thought it was amazing and had no idea why it was talking. I will try and post a couple of photos from it later.
Each country has about 5-6 mini missions for you to carry out. You can pick up the Kimmunicators and get started in Norway, Germnay and UK for sure. When you decide to stop they have a secret drop box in each country to leave the Kimmunicator in.
It was obviously really well thought out and took a long time for them to intergrate it well. I was surprised at how many adults were doing it. I noticed many people with the Kimmunicators (a cell phone with a thin blue rectangle hooked to it). I would be willing to do the missions I was on again to get better pictures and if I was with people who hadn't done them. I am going to suggest to my brother (in college) and his friends that they try one while they are in Orlando over Spring Break.
I also tried the American idol Experience (not the auditions just attending). It was fun. I would say that in the future I hope that I can attned without listening to the preshow- it is interesting once but after seeing it twice - once for a regular show and once for the finale show it was enough- I can't stand sitting through it again. It was crowded at DHS yesterday in comparison to Epcot- which had waits of no more than 40 minutes for Soarin and FP avaiable though at least 5pm for it. I mean the wait for rides at DHS were much longer than Epcots big rides. They still had enough room to add in a number of people after the preshow at each of the AIE shows I went to- in fact since Fantasmic was showing last night at 7pm the finale time there were empty seats at the show.
It is high energy and probbly is very much like attending a taping of the actual show. The nice thing is since they have different preformers - guests all the time no show is exactly the same. It is something that if I couod get into without the preshow I would probably go to one show each time we were at the studios.
