Today I am going to continue to do not do much.
Got slammed with a stomache virus on Saturday night. Just moving on Sunday made me bring up whatever was in stomach. I've had 1 yogurt and 1/2 a bottle of water since Saturday. Feeling a little dehydrated, headache on top the queasy, but nothing stays down. TMI?

Eldest has it too, so we will be staying home and little bit will go to school. As long as I remember to pick him up off the bus, I'm happy.

I have not been in my swap room and I won't until this is gone.

Feel better AWM. You need a break from this sickness thing!

AWM- Feel better!! We did it at my house like you are...Lysol didn't do anything to help either...just went through us all. I can't remember being hit this hard by viruses at my house ever...

BAMB- WOW! Fly lady says set the timer for 15 min and do what you can in that time, then stop, and move on to the next one. But honestly, I'm tired just looking at your list!!

Thanks for the 15 minute tip. That should help me not get overwhelmed and quit!

I hope you feel better AWM and eldest son!!!!
Tell little bit when he gets home it's time to cater to mommy!!

Wow BAMB! you make my day look little.. Good luck getting everything done!!! I gave up on the chore chart but am reinitating it because I'm tired of being the maid (where is the maid smilie?) Besides in the next 2 weeks there is soooo much going on that if I don't get any help I'll lose all control of the "normal" we have here!!! STATE finals are 2 weeks out... and DS7's basketball season ends in 2 weeks too.... actually we will be all done w/ basketball in 2 weeks til next year! woo hoo!!!! Yeah! (yeah, give me a few weeks and than I'll miss it...but I got March madness coming up...)

Which reminds me.. go to ncaa.com to sign up for my VIP pass so I can watch the games online!!!!
Done!

I have a short attention span so 15 minutes is about all I can do at a time. But it works, if I work in 1 room, the rest of the house falls apart in a matter of hours.
The list seems long but it's a lot of little things.

the chore charts are good, the boys have 3 things to do each day, and they got to pick the day.
monday - friday:
Trash
table
dishwasher (unload)
kitchen helper
vacuum under table
homework
laundry (putting away)

weekends:
homework
laundry
clean room

I put a quarter on each chore with a glue dot. If they do the chore, they get the quarter, if I have to do it I get the quarter. If they ask for a sibling to help they have to pay a sibling a quarter. They can also offer money to the sibling to do the job, but the money has to come from their jar, not the chart.
At the end of the week the potential earnings are $5.25, if they get all of it, they trade the quarters in for paper money and they receive a .75 cent bonus, which bumps them up to $6. DS11 is the only one to make it to 6 yet. And I don't remind them either, it's their job to look at the list when they get home.

Thanks for the well wishes. It feels like it's been weeks since we've had everyone healthy. DH is well enough to go back to work. One man out of the cave, but the boy is now in the cave. Eldest isn't as bad, but I didn't want to take a chance on not making it to the bathroom in time in school. He'll go back tomorrow. Little bit is doing well on the antibiotics, so hopefully he will be well after the Strep is gone.

Tomorrow I'm going to start the 15 minute fly lady in each room just to try to catch up on the straightening before deep cleaning. But BAMB's list makes me tired just reading it.

PN96, are you guys going to STATE? That is soo cool!

Yes, DS11's team qualified for STATE last weekend... His team has qualified for the state finals every year since 4th grade. (this is their last year until HS!) Anyway, usually this team likes to take it to the wire and send the parents into a tizzy waiting to qualify on the last weekend tournament.. This year however, we qualified on our first weekend out..so these past weekend and this weekend coming up are "fun" games for the boys to play competitive and keep their eyes out on the teams that could qualify to play against them..

Wow, Buffy your list makes me want to faint. ;)
