Just got back from doctor. Double ear infections. Poor Little Bit. He is completely miserable. Went from feeling almost pretty good to this.
He over on the couch feeling sorry for himself. His nose hurts, his ears hurt, his throat hurts. He's a mess.

I got the dayshift job!!!


My start date is 4/5!! I'm still kind of shock, because, I mean really, things just usually don't work out for me so well like this...

a mother of a girl who doesn't think my DD should have guy friends..
Well, I can't help that my dd is cute..and those boys are cute and they all get along great.. What I can't get anyone to understand is PJ has grown up w/ these boys like brothers... They played on the same BB teams as her older brother.. so who cares.. they are BIG brothers to her... they are like sons to me and DH...

I believe the nutshell of the problem is that this girl is jealous of DD...and the mother has pitted the two girls against each other as if life is a competition between those two... DD thinks its hilarious... I've told DD...that competition is within yourself.... you make yourself better by pushing yourself...

Anyway, I'm not going to tell DD she can't run w/ the boys... I'd much rather her have a bunch of big brothers than have to deal w/ dating.. I'll take the big brothers any day!!! (at least when she does date...I have a lot of big brothers that will be watching every move the boy dating DD makes!)

Precisely. Tell the other Mama bear that you will continue taking good care of your baby bear so she only needs to worry about her own.

Nan- what the heck is that all about? why would she care? uuuuggghhh. people. i think it's great that she has a bunch of friends. girls. boys. who cares. why not want everyone to be friends? why you you pit 2 people against each other. i think she must need drama in her life. uuuugghhh. i so can't do the drama. good for pj for having loads of friends. i also like that line that you used....

This other mom does need drama..she makes mountains out of ant hills... a lot of it is my DD is very active in sports, outside activities, maintains her high GPA and has friends girls/guys... it's just a jealousy thing... the kids are freshman..and there for the fish in the little pond..however, DD knows the bigger fish...and therefore has not been the tiny fish hiding in the corner..

The meds are helping the ear feel better. But now his cough is worse and he says he has a pain under his jaw. My poor baby. I'm thinking the under jaw pain is from lymph nodes? Mine hurts too if I yawn while my head is turned. Just under the one side. Weird huh?

That is exactly it.. she likes to make drama.. the funny thing is.. I was txt messaging with them at lunch at the time I got the phone call from her! Yup, I knew exactly what they were all doing.. I even know what they are doing this weekend... PJ is at home...they are doing what boys always do on weekends talk and no action! LOL

that is weird. maybe he is coughing more because his ear is draining? like dripping down his throat.

Thanks Holly. We are all coughing from one thing or another today. Sounds pretty disgusting at my house.

His jaw doesn't hurt anymore. So I'm sure the lymph nodes & swelling had something to do it. They aren't swollen anymore. But, dang, the medicine he is taking tastes awful, and I mean AWFUL! Usually it is the pink bubble gum, and he loves that one. This stuff is orange and tastes like chalk gone bad. I was giving him some grief about it Friday, because he didn't want to take the second dose before bed. I tasted it yesterday, a little bit was on the rim of the bottle. I about threw up. Poor baby. I need to go buy him some good chocolate to get rid of the taste.

bubba had medicine like that once. it was just awful. i can still smell it when somebody mentions it. it was really ICKY!!!! i felt bad giving it to him. we tried hiding it in everything. but it was so awful tasting/smelling that you could smell it in the juice and food we put it in and he refused to drink/eat it. that was some awful stuff. it was very white and like milkly looking.

sorry to hear everyones coughing over there. hopefully you guys can start shaking it soon. get some real good chocolate for little bit. he deserves it.

I know that medicine too! OMG, it was terrible!! We had a juice chaser ready, and after the intital gagging, they would down the juice. I can't believe how nasty that stuff was!!

Funny story-
I've worked part time 3-11 since the kids were born. I was usually able to take them to the doc and get the meds when they were sick. Well, this one time DH had to take one of the boys to the doc and pick up the meds. He calls me at work and tells me he had a terrible time getting DS to take the meds. So I'm thinking it's because it's the gross stuff...

When I get home I look at the bottle. It was the pink stuff, but they DIDN'T ADD THE DILUENT!! DH had poor DS taking a teaspoon of the powder! I was calling poison control frantic, and was just about crazy. After the nurse at poison control stopped laughing, she told me DS was fine. I went off on poor DH, wondering if he really had blonde roots under all that dark hair. THEN, the next morning, I was first in line at the pharmacy, I lost it all over them! It wasn't pretty, I was demanding to speak to the manager, and really caused a scene. How incompetent! They had huge eyes and were soooo sorry! Idiots!

I know they don't dilute it until you pick it up. Guess they had a new girl on duty that day.
