At Least 3 Things ~2/15/08~

so sorry to hear this shauna, but the upside is that they know what it is now. and now at least you know that once its fixed you'll be out of that pain. so i guess bittersweet. sorry for the news about surgery, but glad to know that you know what it is.

Finally a diagnosis!!! I know that is a relief!

Hope they can get you scheduled fast, so you can start to heal!

Good morning, everyone!! :)

Here's my list for today:

1. Work--it's staff development, so no students--DONE

2. Nap when I get home--DONE

3. Cut letters for everyday swap

4. Order brads

5. Order crocs for me, KAMommy, & her dd

6. Work on Mom's pictures

Everyone have a great Friday!! It's a 3-day weekend here, too! I hope to get lots of scrappin' and swaps done! :thumbsup2

Ok, so today I got NOTHING done. We had staff development at work today--which consisted first of a dvd about what to do in the event of a school shooting, and then a 2 1/2 hour faculty meeting, which should have lasted 20 minutes, but people wouldn't quit talking!! I think my frustration level was at maximum overload!! After about 30 minutes, I started trying to do our family finances in my head to see if I "had" to go back to work after the baby was born (yep, I do, but for the few minutes I thought I might not have to, it was really nice!! ;) ) Most of the time I like my job, and I know there are people who are not fortunate enough to have jobs, but some days just get to you, you know?!

Then, our assistant principal's daughter was at school (she's 10). She's really sweet, and I saw her, so I hugged her. Only, it turns out that she's at our school because she has Fifth Disease, and her mom has to take her to the doctor. Know what one of the things about Fifth Disease is? If you have it, you're not supposed to be around pregnant women!! So, I had to call the ob. Now, they say, "probably nothing to worry about, since most people have already been exposed and are therefore immune", but I still have to go in Monday and have blood drawn, and then wait until Wednesday to find out.
Yeesh! I'm such a worrier anyway. . .I know the nurse at my dr's office probably thinks I'm crazy! ;)

After that day, I came home and collapsed on the couch for 2 hours. I didn't even wake up when DH came home. Nice guy that he is, he took me out for some Mexican food and a trip to Hobby Lobby!

Now, the plan is just to relax, relax, relax, and enjoy the 3-day weekend!!

Shauna, I'm sorry you're going to have to have surgery, but I'm glad the recovery rate is 100%, and that they've found out what's going on!!

Thanks for letting me vent, everyone!! :)

 It will be a tense wait, but hopefully good news!

Here's hoping for good news...I'm sure you will be fine.... Keep us posted.. if you need me to, I'll drive down and have a word w/ co-worker... I guess she didn't know how many mommies your Dchild comes with.... Maybe we should send that memo around!!!

AWM, aren't you suppose to be relaxing on a mini-vacation of sorts? LOL

Shauna, glad you have a diagnosis and you can get the much need relief you want.... Keep us posted!!!

Ah site sales....

Not my favorite thing. But yes, DD is signed up 9-11 on the 23rd. Wal-Mart here we come!!

Should be, but eldest is running a fever. It was up to 102, don't want to be bringing that to my ILs. Eldest just woke up from a 2 hour nap. He never naps. He'll stay awake a little while longer then he has to go to bed for real. I'm making little bit go to bed soon. (normally he gets to stay up an hour later on weekends) I don't want him to be run down and then catch whatever eldest has. There is no stomach pain, so I'm hoping it doesn't become that virus.

Thanks everyone!

SIOH - :wizard: that everything will be fine. Sorry you will be worrying.

'K TRM - Remember how much you don't like those 2 hours of site sales you'll be at? Try being the troop leader that has to be at all 39 hours of site sales that your troop does. Then we'll compare notes. Let's switch . . . now! :wizard: :goodvibes

Curious, how do you decide what troop gets to set up shoppe where?

Oh no.. poor baby!! Keep plenty of fluids and alternate tylenol/motrin for 24+ hours... I'm telling you... those weeks we were dealing w/ whatever it was DS7 had was awful.. to all of you!!!

Thanks. I can admit I'm scared of going through what you and yours went through. Mine will be quite whiny if it goes on too long.

In my town, I'm what is called the Service Unit Cookie Manager which means that I coordinate training, distribution, tracking and paperwork for all of the troops. I also coordinate all of the sites which means that I contact all of the locations where we want to sell and get permission for us to sell there.

Then, I set all of the locations and shifts up in a giant grid and we do a lottery for sign-ups. Each troop draws a number and can sign up for one site each round. We reverse the order of the numbers each round until everyone is signed up. Of course, as Cookie Manager for the whole area, our troop gets first dibs at all of our sites. My troop does at least 4 and sometimes 5 sales; most others do 2 or maybe three and one is doing 6.

HTH!

I also hope your little guy starts to feel better soon. Sorry you didn't get your mini-vacay.

Spraying the DIS...we gotta stop the spread of this bug!!

Lucky you :cool1: we only have a 3 day, but we had a 3 day last weekend too, which turned into a 4 day with DD staying home sick on Tue.

My big list for today is

1. SCRAPBOOK!!!!!!! I got BONUS time, DD went home after school with a friend and had dinner with them, didn't get home until 6:00!, so I got a WHOPPING 32 pages done today, not only that but FINISHED my 2007 book!! I am caught up!!! :woohoo: :cool1:

I decided to take the whole day for ME! so will have 6 glorious hours of quiet until DD gets home.

So then will have DD help me after school So of course none of the below got done

2. Dust
3. clean bathrooms
4. Get DD jazz and tap shoes, dang those feet won't stop growing :rotfl:

Happy Friday everyone

Well I feel bad that I had such a great day getting all caught up with my scrapbooks........sending everyone who needs the :pixiedust and  and :flower3: feel better soon.

SIOH, praying your test is negative, it is scary thinking about it though, have a relaxing weekend and make sure that DH of yours gives you some extra snuggles.

TPCShauna, you must be relived to finally know whats wrong, sorry it will mean surgery, but good news on 100% recovery!

Have a good weekend everyone!!

Thanks Shauna. I always wondered how it was kept fair.

WOW m2m, 32 pages in one day is so awesome! :cheer2:

Thanks for the lysol Debbie, I need to buy some more spray when I'm out. I have about a dozen containers of wipes, but that won't be what is needed to keep this germ from spreading.

Thanks. I can admit I'm scared of going through what you and yours went through. Mine will be quite whiny if it goes on too long.

It's awful...and I was scared too.. I haven't had my kids run temps like that in years... WE had been illness free other than common cold for 3 years.. we had gotten spoiled...

LYSOL works wonders... off to spray the house as we walk out for DS7's bb game.. see you all in a few!!

Deb passes the lysol off to Buffy so the other 3 kids don't get sick.
