Just thought I would share we got in our room last night around 7:30 after spending the day in the parks and went to take a shower and we have no hot water. Called the Front Desk to report it and facilities came 30 minutes later. After testing the water the Cast Member said one of the boilers is down and two other facilities Cast Members is working on it.

This morning we still don't have Hot Water. I am not sure how many buildings are affected.

Wow. It seemed Disney ran large heat plants. (I think the all-stars hot and chilled water was produced in a single "plant") so that could be a significant outage.

I am not a big fan of "asking" for stuff but I think I would call MS and request at least a partial refund of some points if I didn't have hot water.

I once asked to be moved to another Marriott in town when the one in DC didn't have hotwater and they did that. At a "deluxe" level hotel hot water should not be a 'luxury' and guests should be compensated if they can't provide that. That's pretty much an industry standard.

Wow OP, that is tough! Good luck. I've been there too. We stayed at the Contemporary a few years ago (South Wing) and there was construction going on and we were out of hot water for a day. My DD has to run water through the coffee maker to heat up the baby's bottle.

Check and see of hot water comes out when set for cold. There have been reports of rooms being plumbed reversed.

Actually, in our climate (hotter than Orlando) we often get hot water out of our cold faucet in the summer. Just to lighten things a little, think of this-it's so hot out, maybe a cool shower wouldn't feel too bad right now!

I say complain complain complain.....well not really complain but make sure they know how this effects your trip.
A while back when AKK first opened we stayed there and had some smell and noise problems with a couple of our rooms.......we had to move twice.
I made sure they knew how displeased I was and got all my vacation points back except for 5, keep in mind we stayed for a full week / 7 nights in a one bedroom room.....not quite sure about the 5 points that were not refuned but maybe they are not able to give 100% of the points back.....:confused3, my family and I received a $500.00 room credit, PLUS they upgraded us over to a safari view room concierge at Jambo..........

We are at Kidani now as well and do have hot water. So sorry for you OP. Hope it is fixed soon:).

Perhaps Disney's trying out a new theme for AKV "roughing it on the savanna".

Next to go will be the electric. If that works out they'll add a lion pride to patrol the hallways. :goodvibes

No hot water last night and again this morning, but other guests at Kidani do have hot water? It definitely sounds like compensation is in order to me. If they can't move you to a room with hot water, can you shower at the fitness center? I guess after a day in the parks in this heat, a cold water shower wouldn't be too bad.

Hope it all the hot water is working soon.

That reminds me of our cabins in the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. No hot water, 2 days in a row. They fixed it for a bit the first day, but on the second day, we were leaving. Had to drive 5+ hours to get to the next place to stay and fortunately, take a hot shower.
