At bay lake tower now

Enjoying your report so far.

And I agree about people being so rude down there for the parades. It is getting ridiculous. Manners people, manners. :rolleyes1

Wish we would have known about the showers while we stayed there at BLT in September. We were in a two bedroom and our girls complained about both bathroom showers. Ours in the master bath was not a problem. Next time we stay there we will have to try something.

But we loved BLT. It is our second home and SSR is our first. Just love SSR.

Glad you had a happy birthday and have a nice day today! :flower3:

Congrats on your Dream win!! That's awesome. How are you finding the crowds? How were they at MNSSHP on thurs night? This is the week I am considering for next year so I am curious.
We love BLT and stayed there when it first opened and there were already scratches in the black furniture - and the black shows the dust so quickly - probably not the best choice. Did they ever put sheers up in the windows? I hated not being able to sit in PJs or change without closing the full drapes - we could see straight into the other rooms - so I knew others could see into ours - clearly:eek: Enjoy! and thanks for taking the time to share with us.

Seriously, bring your own!! I felt like I was being stung by a million little bees!!! NO adjustments on it, and it comes out sharp!! We are getting ready and off to DTD.

got a $3.00 shower from walmart, works great....note: also bring your pair of pilers....

and we were JUST talking about how others could see!!! Have to still close the drapes

So we did not make rope drop, but, that was ok..Here was our bus from Contemporary

VERY strange being all alone on the bus. We got into the studios, and headed over to Toy Store. SERIOUSLY, at 820am, there was an 80 minute wait, and fastpasses were for 1pm! OK, its a good ride, but not worth THAT wait. SO we went to TOT, and it was 5 minutes...Our drop sequences were AWESOME!!! And, a couple new enhancements we thought were good. Spent some time walking around, and looking around at all the details...Then Movie Ride, which we love. That line was longer than TOT. Then to the writers store where I picked up a book of Walt Disney Quotes. Tried the carrot cake cookie, and eh, not my favorite, but it was good. Then to the streets of america, where they are already setting up for Osborne lights. It was fun to listen to people NOT know what they were...Here is them:

Then we just strolled and paid attention to detail...We then left, and went to the transportation center. WOW, the lines for the monorail to MK were so far down the ramps, and towards the gift shop!! HOLY COW! Seems like it will be packed there, but, Magic Hours are until 3am, so....Now its time for sun and swimming, then off to Tonys hopefully for dinner and MK tonight. OH, one last pic, all the times we have been there, I never took a photo of this:

Woke up call at 6am, Stitch was yelling at us :) Its a room service breakfast day, which, btw, is pretty good here at BLT. Then, its off to the Studios for Rope Drop, some playing with Buzz and Woody, taking a ride in an elevator at Disney's newest DVC, Hollywood Hotel, and enjoying the studios. Then probably some more sun and swim..When you are from the Northeast, swimming in October, and having a REAL tan is pretty awesome! Tonight, its Tony's for dinner, then MK and FINALLY, the Main St Electrical Parade!

Ill have more later! Hope everyone is enjoying the TR!

Your morning is an exact replica of ours! Only we skipped swimming and went to Beach Club for lunch and a leisurely stroll through Epcot to get the bus back to SSR. Thx for the tip about the discount on the Apples.

After swimming and sun, it was off to the MK and to Tonys for dinner. I have never seen the MK so packed with people. It was unreal. We lined up for Main St Electrical Parade 1 1/2 hours early, as other people were! We are back at the room and beat, and have to pack, so more pics and details tommorow...

Hey there, met you and your wife the other day at the hot tub. Looks like you weren't able to make the member celebration and get your pin. Looks like you had a good time though.

Didnt happen to get an extra, did ya? :) It was nice chatting with you!

Wow, we are tired. We ended up staying at MK until about 11 last night, and then by the time we got back to BLT and got to bed it was about 1. And we had to get up at 5am for our flight. A recap of last night.

We walked into the Magic Kingdom and were dumbfounded. There seriously had to be over 50,000 people there! We talked to some people that said EPCOT on Friday night had 55,000 people in it! We walked into Tony's and were given a table at 430. We read the menu, and placed our order. The waitress brought out drink, and Mozzarella and Tomatoe right out. ONE MINUTE LATER our meals were there!! IT took FIVE minutes from order to food!! I asked why, she said that normally the restaurant has 450 people a night, but this night over 900 people were expected!!! When we were finishing, some Disney exec was sat behind us. The waitress said it was a VP or Pres of something. We ventured out into the MK, and holy people batman. Seriously, I have not seen that many people there ever. So we made our way towards the Haunted Mansion. The line was down towards the riverboat docks!!! It had to be 2 hours. We just decided to walk around. Watched Philharmagic, then waited about 1 hour only for Space Mountain. Even the people mover had about a 35 minute wait! So we went over to Liberty Square to get a spot for the Main St Electrical Parade. We waited in that spot over an hour and half!! We just watched the tons of people walking into liberty square. The parade was FANTASTIC!! After that, we did Haunted Mansion and Pirates, then just wandered around the park. I am posting some pictures from the night, and the last is of the awesome sunrise over Bay Lake.

Our trip, for my birthday was great. We enjoyed BLT, however, we like SSR more. I think the Mgmt at BayLake has some work to do on the rooms. But, it is a nice resort. Here are some photos, and I welcome any questions.

We were at BLT last month on the 14th floor, and the villa had lots of wear and tear. It was very beautifully decorated, but it seems like the materials that Disney used were not properly suited to so much use. The pattern of the carpet was worn out on the heavily travelled areas, the sofa cushions were ripped on the undersides, and had water stains on the top. The cabinets and door frames were nicked, the shower leaked cold water on top of your head all the time, and the refrigerator had huge gashes in it. We stayed at VWL right after our BLT stay, and the finishes that Disney used there seemed to be higher quality, and not showing near as much wear and tear.

That's amazing since this is one of there newer time share resorts. What happened? Usually they put in top quality furnishings. Sounds like they are going to have to redo everything in the near future.

We popped over on saturday, went to DHS at about 3 in the afternoon, and then rode a few things, ate at by star tours, and it was empty. Headed to epcot, and there's where all the people were. We waited for a long time to get the monorail back to MK, since we parked there, and was gonna finish up there, but decided not to go in MK, and said let's just go home. After reading your reports, I'm glad we didn't go in LOL Glad you had fun, we're staying at BLT in May....so I can't wait!!

The black furniture showed damage easily, and the dust was WOW! Showed up a lot on the black! BUT, its a new place, and I am sure the kinks will all get worked out soon enough. The views are great!

We are at BLT now. We have a dedicated 2 Br and it is in great shape. Mt biggest complaint so far is the lack of locks on doors.

The dust? And maybe because the room is smaller, a studio, its easier to accidentally damage the furniture? How about your shower head? Its like laser surgery

From the OP's signature, I think he won his DVC membership as the 2007 Year of a Million Dreams GRAND PRIZE WINNER.

....That is excellent!!! How long does the dream last?:confused3. You must be on :cloud9: all the time!!!:flower3:

Pig Pen is right. You have to adjust the flow using the shower lever closest to the faucet. Figured this out on our 2nd stay!
