At Aulani Now - North Shore Question

Hi,

We're at Aulani right now. Here's our plan for the day: Giovanni shrimp truck, Haleiwa for shave ice, Turtle Beach, Waimea Bay, Shark's cove, Banzai Pipeline.

My question is what route should we take back? Should we come the way we came or go around the northern tip of the island and make a loop? Looking to minimize driving yet see the most scenery too. If possible can you name the highways in your response?

I'd suggest continuing around the northern tip of the island to make a loop. Catch the H-3 through the center of the island for some spectacular scenery.

do some reading on where these places are. You will not find a sign that says Turtle Beach or Banzai Pipeline. I would do the loop and take like like back. Be prepared to drive real slow

We didn't go as far as the Banzai Pipeline, but you'll know turtle beach when you see all the cars and there's a traffic back-up. We were able to locate it on Google maps under the proper name, Laniakea Beach.
