At 75 posts, I think I'll get to be a DIS VETERAN! So here goes...

I noticed on my counter thing tonight that I was real close to 75 posts, (actually was at 66) so I've been posting on anything I had a thought just to see if I could finally become a DIS Veteran. Watch it be like 100 or something and then I'll be embarassed! My wife said hers turned at 75.

Anyway, here's my thought. Is there any moment on earth more magical than the moment you first take your child to the Magic Kingdom, you've been waiting for that moment when you turn the corner and look down Main Street at the castle - with great anticipation for the look on their face as they see it and realize they're at Disneyworld, only to have them be more enamored with the horse pulling the trolley and not even acknowledge the castle?

Just thought I'd share.

Congrats on becoming a veteran...I just became one too.

And I agree with your thought...that is the most magical moment. Our last trip to WDW was 2 years ago...it was my DS (now age 4) first trip to WDW. The moment we hit main street was so magical!

This trip is my 16 month olds first time at WDW. I can't wait to see his face!

Hurry up and get here November!!!!!

LOL. My sister had a similar story when she took her 4yo DS for the first time. Dad was all set with the video camera documenting that "first look" down Main Street. You see my sister holding his hand passing under the railroad station. They're all smiles. She's saying "We're about to see Aaron's first reaction to Disney World." "We've waited 4 years for this moment!". The camera zooms in on Aaron with the castle in the background and he says "Popcorn!" The camera zooms over to the popcorn wagon! LOL It was too cute.

It doesn't take long to become a DIS veteran. Then after that you won't believe how quickly your post count grows!

Nothing is more magical that the first visit to the Magic Kingdom!
