I do have to say, I'm really impressed with this series. Talk about fantastic baseball on both sides. Plus, both teams are playing with a lot of class- something you don't see in other teams. Wouldn't surprise me at all if at the end of the series both teams shake hands. Kudos to both for showing such outstanding sportmanship!

Cards still kick butt though!

I'm a die hard Astros fan from Pennsylvania and have been since age 7 in 1979 when the astros were my t-ball team. That year I had Jr. Richard's number put on my jersey. From then on I have been with them in spirit every year. Last year I was lucky enough to see two games in Houston.
This run that they have made just to make the playoffs was unbelievable. I would have been happy with them just beating the Braves as it's taken since '62 to win a playoff series but the way they are playing against the Cards is fantastic.
Boo is right, the Cards can't be counted out, but no matter what happens they are putting out a super effort.
Most of all, I'm so happy for the people of Houston with whom I feel I have a connection, they have waited so long for something like this to happen with our team.

I can assure you any of us who have been Astros fans for any length of time are anything but comfy. The word comfy and Houston teams just dont go together

I for one am certainly not ruling the Cards out of this one. The good thing for Houston, is that we have some serious momentum after last night's win. I'm hoping Munro can step up like Backe did.

I'm sooo excited about the Astros! Hopefully DH and I are not jinxing them but we have bought tickets already for the world series game(if it happens) here in Houston for Oct. 26. Even if they don't make it I'm very proud of them and to call them MY favorite team. I do have to say though that the past few weeks have been phenominal in baseball-period! All of the teams in the playoffs series are doing a GREAT job. I usually don't watch others teams but I have been watching the Yankees/Red Sox games just because you never know what is going to happen and I like a game that will keep me on my toes.

Thanks for the great season Astros. This year has to rank up there with 1980 as one of the best in team history. I am always very proud to be an Astros fan but especially so this year.
Needless to say I can't wait for next season to start. I'll be able to get there again to root them on in person.
