Anyone w/ asthma, COPD & related issues: when choosing a resort please be aware that the Poly does not enforce the smoking policies. Not sure if other resorts do, so it may not be any better elsewhere, but it's bad here. I've waited years to afford a castle view & cannot enjoy it because of people smoking on the surrounding patios & balconies. I've spoken to management & identified the rooms to no avail. My asthmatic DD would not be able to tolerate the balcony. And what an example these parents are setting: ok kids ignore rules you don't like & too bad for e eryone else.

Sad to hear I have had problems with smokers at Coronado Springs my next door neighbor was smoking right outside OUR door. I asked nicely that she not smoke there she just looked at me.

I called the front desk and complained that evening she was there again I called the desk and told them it needs to stop or they need to move us. Security was there in a few minutes they talked to her and she never did it again.

It was a few years ago when they had both smoking and non smoking rooms

We have only had problems with it once. At WL a few years ago. Right below us.

Did you tell the CMs a second time? It might be that they "thought" they dealt with it but the guests ignored them and kept smoking. If you only told them once, they might not be aware that it is still happening.

That's what happened at WL. We told the CMs and they went to deal with it and "thought" they had dealt with it but 2 days later we had problems from the same room so we reported it again. We were there for another 5 days and never had a nother problem. Don't know if they made them leave or if they actually listened....I'm kind of hoping they were kicked out.

Believe me....if they are smoking where they are not supposed to be to begin with, they are not going to stop just because they are told once. Even a fine probably would not deter these types of people. They don't care about anyone else.
