Assuming I could get any of these reservations, which would you choose?

I currently have booked a 1 BR for Hilton Head from Saturday Nov. 18th checking out Wednesday, Nov. 22nd (Wednesday and Thanksgiving day was not available - big surprise there). That isn't really a big deal because we can either continue on to Jacksonville, Fl to have Thanksgiving with my husband's parents or return to N.C. to have Thanksgiving with my parents. I'm contemplating trying to book Sunday through Thursday of that week at Disney instead (where we would actually be there Thanksgiving day) at either SSR, OKW or if possible VWL (probably slim at this time, I know). Any opinions as to HH during the time I have booked (I'm not even sure what the weather is like there this time of year or what there is to do there with me, husband and 4 year old son) or the others at Disney during Thanksgiving week?

I think you are too late for Thanksgiving week at Disney.

so I would stick with HH.... the ocean will probably be too cold - but the pools are heated and will be just fine....

Actually, I couldn't help myself (especially since we have annual passes right now). I called member services and was able to get a 1 BR at SSR for Sunday through Thursday of Thanksgiving week...whoo-hoo!

See ya at HHI! We're also staying in a 1 BR, and when I first reserved, last month, there was no availability on Wednesday or Thursday. However, I called today and our waitlist already came through for Wednesday (less than 3 weeks waiting). On Thursday night, we've reserved on member's cash-it's $116+tax for a 1 BR, which I think it pretty inexpensive. I was surprised a 1 BR was available on Member's cash, but not points (I can see cash thru CRO, but this was still thru DVC). However, now, I'm wondering if that's a better option than the 17 points it would have "cost". So have you considered the waitlist? And if this isn't your first Thanksgiving trip to HH, what goes on special at that time? We're so excited!
