ASSR closing for refurb?

I just read in the passporter that the ASSR will be closing in the future for rehab.

Has anyone heard this?

What happens if you have reservations here and they close?

Any details at all would be helpful..

Since it's a scheduled rehab Disney's probably blocked out the dates and I doubt they have many reservations. Normally guests would get moved to one of the other value resorts. After 9-11 Disney mothballed most of the moderate resorts and some guests got upgraded to deluxe resorts but I wouldn't expect that to happen here.

Last year I was booked into Port Orleans, and they decided to close for refurbishment - they offered me AKL or WL for $20/night more than I was paying at Port Orleans - so they don't always block out the rooms in advance of doing work!
