Associate Member?

Finally! My husband and I just received our pin numbers for the online access in the mail. I was looking over the different services that are provided online and I have a questions about naming an associate member. My husband and I do not have any children yet, but travel to WDW often with my family. My mom and I usually are the planners of the trips, so I am thinking that I should add her to our account as an associate member. Correct me if I am wrong, but does this basically mean that she would then be able to call and make reservations for us? What else is involved with associate membership? Thanks for all of the valuable information that I always receive on this board!

I think it only gives them the ability to make and change reservations.

my brother is my associate - there are only things (discounts) he doesn't get - the DVC room discount and the annual pass discount. Otherwise he gets everything.

I asked about borrowing and banking - and I got told he could do it.

He has tried this yet....

We have our own membership but I am also an associate on my in-laws membership since I do all of the trip planning. That way I can make one call and link reservations, borrow/bank, transfer, whatever. I also received a pin-code for their dvcmember.com account, but I haven't yet used it. I don't think that it would let me access any financials though, like loan payments and such.
