Hi everyone .Has anyone used this lounge before ? We were told last year we couldn't go in as it was busy and why didn't we book ? This year told we couldn't book and just turn up Has this happened to anyone else ? Thanks pixiedust:

I think most lounges only allow for a certain number of bookings and allow for a percentage of walk ups, so if they have 100 spaces they may only prebook 80 or so.

We have used lounges on many trips and several times have found them to be full, especially in the week when I guess lots of people travelling for business.

Does it need to be the Aspire lounge? There is also the No1 lounge in Gatwick that May allow you to prebook.

Never experienced the lounges I'm afraid......we have looked into doing it (the virgin one) but we would have had to pre-book. Not too sure about any of the others, but perhaps check again with them?

It depends on how you are paying for your entry.

If you are paying cash you need to pre-book and there are plenty of places to do this.

If you are using some sort of card/membership entry (we get it with our bank account) you generally can't pre-book and can only enter if there is space on the day :goodvibes

We haven't used Aspire but have used No 1 in the past and can't recommend them enough!

When we went a couple of years ago it was £40 for the two of us, it seems to have gone up to £50 now, but we took into account we drink copious amounts of tea and a meal would probably cost about £10 each, so it was probably cheaper for us to use the lounge! Lol

This year, we want to use it again and might gamble with just turning up, (as I have a Gourmet Society card which allows us both to get in for the price of one person) but am a little concerned about not getting in :-S

Thanks .Been put off no 1 gatwick by another site but may give it a look as others say it's fine .( I suppose horses for courses) .And yes it is with my husbands bank .So think we'll chance Aspire and if full go to no1 .Always think it's a shame there's nothing like it at MCO :yay:
