Hi all!!! We're going to the World end of September....we normally stay at POR, but we're on a bit of a budget this year. We'll be staying at a value resort, but I can't decide which one. DH hates waiting forever for the park shuttles, and I remember when we once stayed at ASMusic in Sept, the crowds for the park shuttles were pretty crazy. Does Pop Century get its own shuttle (as opposed to some of the All Stars sharing shuttles). Just looking for a value resort with the more efficient shuttle system. Anyone have any opinions???
TIA!!!

POP has it's own shuttle and is one of the most efficient systems in all the parks. We stayed there last December and never waited more than 15 minutes...Also never felt crowded...

Our favorite value is ASports! We love the size and theming. We only shared buses in the middle of the afternoon and never at open or close. No problems at all for a 10 night stay in June!

We prefer POP over any of the All Star resorts. POP has its own bus and as PP said, we never waited more than 15 minutes (usually less than 5 minutes - we did rope drop almost every day). The longest wait was for Downtown Disney.

When we stayed at Music, we were in stuffed buses that stopped at all 3 All Star Resorts.

Never stayed in the All Stars, but the bus service at POP was awesome this past August. The longest we waited was 20 minutes, and of course it was pouring rain (no covered bus stops at the values!). But we normally did not wait more than 10 or 15 minutes.

Like others said, it does have its own bus system.

Only other negative I can think of is that it seemed like POP was always either the last or next to last bus stop at all the parks.

My favorite is All Star Sports. The only time we shared buses with the other All Stars was once on the way to Downtown Disney. I much prefer the buses there to the buses at POR.

We've had good bus service at the All Stars, with the exception of twice.. since 2008. On two separate mornings on two separate trips there was a bus running really late, but that can happen at any resort. The bus service at Pop was okay for us, but it is a larger resort than any of the All Stars, so you still may end up waiting the same amount of time for a bus, if the first one that pulls up fills up before you get on. I think you're okay either place you choose.

Never ever pick a resort based on how great you think the buses will be. All resorts have days where the bus service is phenomenal, and all resorts have days where it sucks rocks.

The Pop never shares a bus with another resort. Which is a plus. However it doesn't share because it is such a huge resort. Which means that you will have a lot of people trying to get seats on those buses.

The All Stars sometimes share (more often they each have their own bus) and it is not the big deal that some make it out to be. The All Stars are all connected by their parking lots, so it is more like one big resort with 3 stops during the rare occasions they share a bus. Typically each All Star has their own bus. Consider too the All Stars are each way smaller than the Pop, so you have fewer people trying to get on those buses.

Go with whatever value resort appeals to you over all. Don't pick thinking you are getting the one with the best bus service, because that is the way to become disappointed during your vacation very quickly.

Good points, thanks! I'll tell DH to shush and let me plan from here on out. LOL!!! My viewpoint is : I'm at Disney...there's nothing that could ruin my day! LOL! Thanks again to everyone!

We've never stayed at an All Stars resort. But we loved our Pop experience. We now stay at POR since we're a family of 5. Otherwise, we'd still be staying at Pop. Bus system was great. Great staff!!! (Better than staff at POR.). Loved the theme.

just booked a trip to assp. Have stayed at pop twice and aoa lm once. Pop was good but i think I am tired of the theme. Loved aoa! But thought I'd try sports in July. Have stayed at asmu in 2005 and thought it was cute. But I'm looking for the absolute cheapest this time and figure that it might be less chaotic at sports than pop or movies. Who knows? But it is the first bus stop so I'm hoping that will be a good thing. Cheers!
