I read somewhere about a box of donuts that you can get with a snack credit at ASMu. I'm not sure if it was in the food court or the gift shop...

Can anyone tell me how many donuts come in that box?

We'll be bringing a two-cup coffee pot with us, and hope to buy some donuts to have in the room for breakfast.

We were at POP last summer and my hubby got these (I am pretty sure in the snack shop). They were the box of mini choc donuts (I am thinking entemans)

Mini-- like, the ones that are 2 inches in diameter?

Any idea how big the box was?

It's funny, I just put something on another thread regarding the same issue. I've never been to Disney, but this is my two cents. I'm thinking, with all of the delicious sounding snacks that you can only get at Disney that I've read about like the pasteries and dole whips and yada, yada, I think I would rather buy a box of Entennmans donuts at the grocery store before I left and take them with me for $2-$3 than waste a snack credit that I could use for something else. Maybe I'm looking at wrong, but that is what I would do.

Many different types of Entenmann's. These are in the gift shop back by the
cooler. Almost all the way back to the left side of the check out. Some have a dozen others 6 depends on the size of the donut:thumbsup2

P'raps....

But we're really trying to stick to the budget and have as few OOP expenses as possible. This is one way of making one snack credit take care of breakfast for a few days (we're not really big breakfast eaters).

We usually do this with our snack credits. I think there are a dozen in a box. We also use one credit for 1/2 gallon of milk. We always do this and think that donuts and milk are a great way to use your credits. :cool1:

Depending on the size of your family and the length of your trip and your tolerance for sharing.....you'll have more than enough snack credits for fun delicious treats at Disney AND a box or two of boring grocery store Entennmans donuts. We had 28 snack credits to use. Since we did the free cups of ice water at the parks instead of buying bottles of water w/ snack credits, we had plenty of snack credits for treats/snacks all week and still had some left on our last day.

ETA: The boxes of donuts are 8 small assorted cake donuts or mini donuts (choc or powdered sugar). I'd say a single box would be fine for at least 2 -3 days for 2 people. But bring a ziploc- they get stale fast, imo.

Then that makes complete sense for you. Sorry for putting my two cents in;) We are doing a lot of breakfasts and late dinners. I guess people just plan differently. Of course, like I said, I've never been either, so I may be way off base, too.

As posted on another thread ;

You can use your snack credit for anything under $4.00 - or at least that is what we were told. On our last trip we were able to use them for B-fast at Mara - we were able to get oatmeal, the childs b-fast platter and a lot of other items that were less than $4.00, the CM's just counted that as a snack credit!!!
Look at the menu for Captain Cooks - B-fast items, on allears it has the menu and prices.

Also, as mentioned above - look at the menu for the Main Street Bakery also on allears!!!

Here's the link

****Check at your own resort to see what applies!!

Me and DW start putting away a bunch of one dollar bills a few months ahead, We take them with and use them to buy the sodas or water in the parks. And put away a few $10's for the beer at EPCOT before the fireworks. We get the mug in the Resort and use that for soda or coffee when at the resort. These are the only OOP we used and plan to use this year. Snack credits were mostly used for donuts in the morning or at the park bakerys. There is so much food with the TS and CS it is even hard to use up the Snack credits. So whatever Snack credits remain use them last day at the resort store to buy treats to take home.
Can't wait till Sept. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We picked these up several evenings so we could have a quick breakfast in the morning!!! They had large donuts too.

And that was one snack credit?! Great! I'll bring some ziploc bags, and that will be breakfast for a couple of days for us!

Agree with the donuts. These can be good choices for snacks. I found it interesting that at POP they had bags of Chips and Cheetos in two different sizes (one a 9 oz bag) that are both one snack credit so why get the smaller bag. Since these are pre-priced by the manufacturer Disney can't mark them up over that price.
