More questions from a newbie.....

My check-in is in 10 days (3/19). I just called ASMu to request Jazz Building if possible (I realize these requests are not guarantees). I was told, "you have to wait until 7 days before your check-in date to make such a request....we don't download the requests from the computer until then....call back then." I asked whether they can't just leave the request in the "Notes" or whatever, she said no, you have to call back 7 days in advance of your reservation.

Does this make any sense to anyone?

You called the resort directly? Your reservation information will not be at the resort level this early.
If you want your request on your reservation then you need to call the number for the WDW reservations and ask to have your requests noted on your reservation.
Then you can at 5 days prior to your check in, fax a request to the resort. Now some people say that the faxes are ignored but I have been pretty lucky with faxing in my requests.

It does. The resorts get the information 10 day in advance - not sure where the 7 days is - but fax the request. The fax at All Star Music (i've stayed there quite a few times ) is 407-939-7222. I would put it attention Front Desk Manager, or I know DJ (Mgr) is there. He would help. Not sure what his last name is. But, how many DJ's can be at one resort?
