Hi there. I have searched everywhere, and cannot find an answer. Is there a way to "decode" your assigned room number at All Star Movies to determine what floor you are on? Strange question I know, but my daughter and I are traveling alone next month, and prefer the top floor. Thanks so much!

The 4 digit room number breaks down like this:

First Number is your Building, 1-10, though Building 10 is listed as "0"

Second Number is your actual floor, which for ASmo, will be either a 7 (ground floor), 8, or 9 (top floor).

Third and Fourth numbers are your room location on that floor and are listed 01-64. The Buildings/floor are shaped like a "T" with the elevators at the center/building icon. Rooms 01-10 and 55-64 will be courtyard facing. 11-20 and 45-54 will be on the opposite side of those rooms. 21-44 are straight back from the building icon/elevators.

Hope that helps!

Not sure why it matters because you don't know your room number until you check in. Even if the room isn't ready so you don't know the number, you can simply ask the Cast Member "I requested top floor, is that being honored?" And then go from there. If you have top floor, good to go. If not, then you can ask to be transferred to another room. You might not have the exact room number but you will know immediately if you have your request. And remember - it's just a request.

FYI top floor tends to be hotter cause of the heat beating strait down on the roof. And from all I have read the AC units down work so well at ASMo

Thank you! I know that I won't know my room number until check in. I know it is just a request/ I asked because we had a CM a few years ago at ASMu that told us we were most definitely on the top floor upon check in, and after we dragged everything over to our room, we were not:confused3. So, I thought I could avoid that if I could tell by the room number at check in. Hope that makes sense.

I get your concern. That's why my husband and I just take light things to the room until we figure out exactly where it is. I don't even know which parking lot is the best to put the car until we get to the room. We might even end up moving the car after we see the room location. We only take things we can carry up the stairs and then go from there.
