AsMo or POR?

DH and I decided to tack on a few days at WDW before our cruise in December. It would be DH's 2nd trip and DD's (7) first. I'm trying to decide between AsMo (preferred) and POR (standard) since POP is fully booked during that time. I have not stayed in either so I don't have any experience to go off of. Because DH and DD are both autistic, I am looking for something that is going to be comfortable, not exceptionally noisy, and that transportation isn't going to be a huge hassle.
We can't afford to go with a deluxe resort, want to stay on property, and a rental car isn't going to be likely.

I think you would like POR it’s one of my favorites. It’s a lot calmer and relaxing. ASMo is a lot more stimulating and sometimes gets large roudy groups. That being said, ASMo is definitely calmer than ASMp!
Busses are at each and sometimes people complain that POR busses hit all stops around resort (vs. one main pick up) But if you request Alligator Bayou (instead of the Mansions) you should be able to have a better experience based on drop on/ off order.
You can also take a nice boat ride to Disney Springs.

POR is very quiet and peaceful if that’s what you’re looking for. Not noisy at all.
