Asking specifically for CRO

I'm curious....

Have any of you ever called 407-WDISNEY and asked specifically to speak to a CRO agent in order to book a room-only reservation that is subject to fewer restrictions? (i.e., One night's room rate deposit, final payment at check-in, cancel reservation up until 5 days prior to check-in without penalty.)

Do you actually get transferred to CRO if a WDTC agent answers or do they give you a hard time about this?

Also...will CRO book a room-only AP discount (if available for my dates) room for me, or does the AP discount make it a "package?"

Thanks!

My reservations all refer to me holding a AAA "package" which is a room-only for the length of stay with no added features atttached. I don't think they look at a package the same way we do. It appears to be a package of dates at a reduced rate. Also, I have asked for CRO the last few times (this past week) only to be told that they are all handling all calls now. This has even occurred when I designated a change to my reservation rather than making a new one. I asked the CM whether their new system was up and running and she said yes and that they are all learning to use it. She also said that they will be all under one name, possibly "Walt Disney Reservations" very soon. I was actually a lot more comfortable with the new system as I didn't feel they were trying to push packages, tickets or travel arrangements as they had before when I had gotten the WDTC.

I called a few weeks ago, and was nervous about asking for a CRO agent. This may sound silly, but I didn't want anyone who answered to give me a hard time about it.

So as soon as a they answered, I said, "I want to book a room only reservation, and I only want to do it through CRO NOT WDWTC." Then I asked do you do both or just WDTC?

The agent was very kind and said no problem, and then he asked me why I wanted to book through CRO instead of WDTC and how did I know the difference between them. I told him that a I was a very smart girl and that I did my research and I wanted the 5 day cancelation policy and the ability to modify my reservation.

He just laughed and said I was a very smart cookie!:D

I always ask for CRO when a CM answers. Sometimes they switch me to a different CM and sometimes they say that they can do both and help me. No one ever gives me an attitude about it. When I used the AP discount I just let whomever answered the phone help me as I had an existing reservation through CRO that I was applying it to. I've heard some say that the AP discount is considered a package but I just got my confirmation and it says room only AP discount.

Hi,

When I made my original reservations on 8/28/03 and then yesterday changed them, I just said that either I need to make a room only AP reservation or I need to check to see if the AP rate is available for a particular resort. I was never switched over to CRO since I talked the whole time to the same person who answered my call, but was told both times that payment is made at the resort at time of checkin and must cancel 5 day's prior to getting there.

I know yesterday really doesn't count since the only system that was working was the room-only system and both times got a hold of someone with-in about 5 to 10 sec.

In the past when you called , the system would ask you to put in how many days , I would always put one or two. When you get a CM be specific about asking for CRO terms.

Good Luck
Jack
