Hey Gals! I've been pondering this for a while and I'm still iffy on what I should do so I thought I would come here for the best place I know to get inspiration. :goodvibes

I am going to ask my sister in law to be my Matron of Honor for my Escape Wedding. She has absolutely no idea. I think she thinks we are having no wedding party, or just our kids. I can't wait to surprise her by asking her!

Anyway, I want to ask her by giving her one of those little "Will you be my Bridesmaid / Matron of Honor" boxes. But I have no idea what to put in it!! I have done some research online but it's still unclear to me what you put in them, a lot of the stuff in the boxes has been generic wedding stuff and I think I'd like it to be a little more Disney orientated. It's also hard because I'm just starting to plan now and so I don't really have things set for a year from now - you know, like what jewelry I might want. Plus that is like a gift I might give her for the wedding next year.

So what do I put in the box? Any ideas? Anyone do this?

Also, I'd like to do one for her daughter who will be my flower girl. She is 3 going on 4 years old.

MY daughter is also going to be in the wedding and should probably get a box too. HER box will be really special... I am still working on what term I should call my daughter. She isn't a flower or even a jr bridesmaid. She is part of the ceremony, almost like she is getting married too, we are going to have a very family orientated ceremony, like joining of the families type thing... we haven't decided yet what to call the kids. We have been trying to think of terms for them. Maid of Honor didn't really seem to work because she is only 8 (my fiance has a son and daughter also so we need terms for a boy too). We were thinking of calling them Prince and Princesses or Lords and Ladies... but the girls *could* be my Maids of Honor while his son... I don't know. I guess he would have two Best Men? We can't call him Best Boy. I really think I need to start a planning journal, lol.

Anyway, if you have ideas about the boxes (or the names for the kids!!!) I would love to hear them!!

I made Will You Be My Bridesmaid boxes for my MOHs (I have to Maids of Honour and no other bridesmaids or flower girl). My boxes were pretty generic wedding and didn't really have any Disney specific touches. I made a bunch of cards with all kind of wedding information (as much as I had at a year and a half out, anyway) and I made an individual little photobook through Snapfish for each of them, with photos of us growing up, etc.

If you want to see mine, here are links to the entries in my PJ:

As for Disney things you could add. There are some beautiful items in the Cinderella Sephora collection (I got the compact mirror as gifts for my MOHs, my mom and FMIL for example), there are cute little items in the Designer Villain collection that could work like nail polish, notecards and lip gloss. When I made my boxes the Designer Princess collection had just come out and there was a lot of talk of buying those items for attendant gifts on the boards--some things may be available on ebay if you were interested in that.

Other things that come to mind are mickey-head confetti, maybe a Disney pin or Disney Parks button (such as the "I'm Celebrating" button).

Here's another Disney-specific "Bridesmaid box", if you've not seen it already too: http://www.disneyweddinginspiration.com/2012/09/world-of-color-bridesmaids-gift-boxes.html

And that's about all I can think of at the moment. :goodvibes

Oh and I totally forgot that we are also doing a box of sorts for DF's niece who will about two and a half at the time of our wedding. We got a cute little rolling suitcase from AKL shaped like a little tiger or leopard (I haven't seen it in over a year, so my memory is a little sketchy, haha). We're going to put in some cute things like a stuffed animal, perhaps a book and maybe something like a little headpiece for her to wear to the wedding. She isn't going to be in the wedding because she will a bit too young, but we still want to make her feel like she has a special part, I think. I haven't given too much thought to this particular thing, I better get on it. :rotfl:

Your boxes are amazing LittleKittyMarie! Wow! The book was a great idea! I could totally do something like that for my sister in law. She loovvesss pictures too.

And those are great Disney ideas for the box, I'll check out the Villain stuff and see if there is something I can use.
