Hey Gals! I've been pondering this for a while and I'm still iffy on what I should do so I thought I would come here for the best place I know to get inspiration.
I am going to ask my sister in law to be my Matron of Honor for my Escape Wedding. She has absolutely no idea. I think she thinks we are having no wedding party, or just our kids. I can't wait to surprise her by asking her!
Anyway, I want to ask her by giving her one of those little "Will you be my Bridesmaid / Matron of Honor" boxes. But I have no idea what to put in it!! I have done some research online but it's still unclear to me what you put in them, a lot of the stuff in the boxes has been generic wedding stuff and I think I'd like it to be a little more Disney orientated. It's also hard because I'm just starting to plan now and so I don't really have things set for a year from now - you know, like what jewelry I might want. Plus that is like a gift I might give her for the wedding next year.
So what do I put in the box? Any ideas? Anyone do this?
Also, I'd like to do one for her daughter who will be my flower girl. She is 3 going on 4 years old.
MY daughter is also going to be in the wedding and should probably get a box too. HER box will be really special... I am still working on what term I should call my daughter. She isn't a flower or even a jr bridesmaid. She is part of the ceremony, almost like she is getting married too, we are going to have a very family orientated ceremony, like joining of the families type thing... we haven't decided yet what to call the kids. We have been trying to think of terms for them. Maid of Honor didn't really seem to work because she is only 8 (my fiance has a son and daughter also so we need terms for a boy too). We were thinking of calling them Prince and Princesses or Lords and Ladies... but the girls *could* be my Maids of Honor while his son... I don't know. I guess he would have two Best Men? We can't call him Best Boy. I really think I need to start a planning journal, lol.
Anyway, if you have ideas about the boxes (or the names for the kids!!!) I would love to hear them!!
