Asking for ticket advice :)

I've read the ticket stickie, but I want to make sure I am getting everything straight in my head.

I have two 5-day MYW park hopper tickets with no expiration option. As I understand it, since I bought these through Disney website alone (not with a package), I cannot price bridge them, correct?

Second, I have two MYW PH tickets with a package for this September. So, once I use at least one day on those tickets, I would be able to price bridge, right? My plan is to add on water parks and more option. If I am understanding everything, adding on water parks for my two tickets would be around $55 rather than just buying two 1-day water park tickets at $106 when I am there.

Does this seem correct or am I mucking it all up?

I believe that as long as the tickets were purchased through Disney that they will Price Bridge the tickets, it doesn't matter if it was part of a package or not. The only ones that they don't price bridge are certain tickets from third party vendors.

But I could be completely wrong.

Because you already have PH, to add WP+M is $26+tax regardless of the number of days. If your package tickets are less than 5 days or you don't plan on using all 5 fun options this trip, it might be best to add the WP+M option to the no expire tickets after you have used them once so that the options don't expire before they are used.

I was thinking about the same, until I remember the OP also has the MYW tix with pkg. It costs about $100 for each day of the no expiry tix ($495/5days). It's cheaper to add days to the MYW tix ($10) if extra day is needed. It will costs $33 for each additional WP+fun in the future if OP bridge the no expiry tix. However, it might be more economical if OP bridge the 5 days no expiry tix and upgrade to a 10 days WP+fun. ($800) Pay extra $300 for a second set of 5 days tix plus 10 WP both with no expiration.

You package tickets can be price-bridged, as soon as you use them to enter one of the 4 theme parks. There's a Guest Relations office just inside (and just outside) each theme park entrance, where this can be done. Adding WPF&M option to a PH ticket at current gate price is $26+tax = $27.69. Two tickets = $55.38 total. This is a good bargain for the number of options you'll receive.

Regarding your no-expiration tickets. You didn't say how old these tickets were (how many price increases since you purchased them). In the recent past, there was no PH/WPF&M combo price. Each option was charged separately, even if both options were purchased for a ticket. Those tickets bought directly from Disney (online, mail order, will call, ticket booth) are not qualified for price bridging. I think you should take these tickets to a Guest Relations office outside one of the theme parks (without using them), and ask if they can be upgraded at this point in time, and what it would cost to add WPF&M option. It may be more than $27.69 each, but maybe not a lot more. It would be a good investment, since the WPF&M options of the ticket don't expire once the park days are used up.

Yeah, more on the wrong. . Third party tickets ARE price bridged, Disney direct purchased tickets are not.

For bridging purposes, tickets purchased as part of a Disney package or at the Disney store are third party tickets. Tickets purchased from Disney (online or at the gate) are not.

They price bridge third party tickets because Disney doesn't know the exact price the guest paid for them. They only know what the third party vendor paid for them, which would certainly be less. So rather than have to deal with that, they price bridge.

While they _should_ know the price paid for ticket as part of a package, etc., they are still treated as third party tickets.

The no expiration tix are from January/feb 2013 before that year's increase. So, I think there have been two increases since our purchase. But I did buy direct from Disney online, so I guess I could take them to a guest relations and see what they say. But in the end, I think my best, most economical option is to add the water park option to the MYW tix that come with my package. Even though we will not use all the days, from the responses, it is still cheaper than buying two 1-day tickets to blizzard beach.
