Asking for stuff from Concierge ??

A previous post had me wondering about asking for stuff not out from the conceirge. I've read that the Poly conc now offers beer, but you have to ask for it. That seems a little odd to me. I'm not the type of person to ask for something - however my husband would. But without reading these boards how would anyone know they offered it?

If you saw someone drinking one I suppose. Happened to us at YC-all we had to do was ask! Also noticed that some kids had choc milk (only white milk out)-again, you wouldn't know unless you asked. We had no problem asking for fruit during the day (it was out at breakfast but not offered throughout the day). They were always pleasant and accomodating-love concierge staff.

Well I'm sure if my husband finds out they have beer for sure he will have no problem asking and asking and asking and asking
