We are travelling with DH's family and there will be 6 of us, I know in most places gratuity is automatically added to the bill for parties over 6, but we are going to need to pay separately.
What I need to know is, will it be a problem for us to have 2 separate bills (not on site as we will be eating mostly off site), we will both have fairfx cards so paying cash won't be an option.

Thanks

Sam

Onsite last year we ate at Tutto Italia with Rob (Fuse04) and family, they split the bill no problem but Auto Grat added as there were 6 of us.
Offsite some add the tip some don't, we often eat with CM friends and split the bill but as only 5 of us no auto grat with them. Every restaurant we have been to has split it for us no problem.

Just tell your server BEFORE you order. It's not that it can't be changed afterwards, but they then need to find a manager to void the bill and ring it up again separately which can take a lot of unnecessary time (your time). If you let the server know as soon as he/she comes to the table that you would like separate bills and who needs to be on whick bill, it will be straightforward.
