Asking for recipes?

I know that if you ask, you can get the recipes for dishes in the various World Showcase restaurants. I've gotten a few that have become family favorite dishes! Just wondering if you can you get them from other eateries around WDW?

you can get the recipes from all restaurants on property. Our favorite is the terriyaki from Ohana's.

I purchased the "Cooking with Mickey" Cookbook.

It is all recipes from the resorts, parks etc. Sure saved alot of time on asking for recipes. Then you only have to ask for ones that may not be in the cookbook.

I get recipes from the swan hotel about every few months via email. Have gotten some really great ones so far.

I was devestated two years ago when we weren't able to get Cinderella's breakfast. Not so much the fact that it's a magical breakfast, (we'd done it three years in a row! I don't know how we did it!) but that I wouldn't get to indulge in the wonderful cheese danish!

We passed through the Castle at lunchtime, and I commented to a CM how much I loved the cheese danish, but that we weren't able to get the breakfast this year. She stopped what she was doing, asked for my name and address, and said the recipe would be sent to me.

Two weeks later, what arrived in the mail? On beautiful WDW castle stationery, the recipe for cheese danish! I was very impressed.

I still can't prepare it as well as the Disney chefs can, and try my hardest each year to book Cindy's breakfast!

that is my new souvenir idea! I did not know you could do this! do they always come on cards or do they always mail them to you or what. I love to cook and this is fantastic. I could get one from each place we eat at!

About 1 1/2 years ago, I got the recipe for the Zebra Domes at Bomas. When I asked for it, they took my Email address on a little form. When I got home from vacation, it came a few days later (it was within a week of asking for it).

We asked for a recipe on our honeymoon trip and they brought a paper copy right out!

I also have a large collection of recipes on my website , links to the Swan & Dolphin recipe club, Orlando Sentinal's recipes, plus other sites.

Many restaurants are willing to hand out recipes. It never hurts to ask.

at Boma they have special cards for you to fill out with any special requests for recipes. i was raving about the nut crusted salmon and the waitress asked if i'd like the recipe all i needed to have was an e-mail address for them to send it to me. it was waiting for me when i got home

do they always email it..I was hoping for some cute little mickey recipe cards! I guess I could buy those and put the emails on them.

All of the Epcot recipes I've requested have been on plain white paper...no Mickey's. I tranfer the recipe to standard cards and then keep the original in our scrap book.

I've been collecting Disney recipes ever since our last trip in May '01. We didn't ask for the recipes while we were there, but have contacted several CMs in their culinary dept for recipes - in addition to using Margie J's wonderful and extensive Website.

What I've been doing is printing them out on colorful card stock & trimming with my rotary cutter. The best part is that I can add clip art or even actual photos of the foods. In fact, this was one of the shower gifts I have my new DIL. Recipe cards in plastic, protector sleeves from Current & in a Longeberger basket. It turned out great!
