Asking Characters a Question

Hello! I'm a first timer so I apologize if this isn't the exact place I should ask my question. I was wondering if anyone had some fun ideas as to asking characters to pose for pictures while you're disneybounding? A more specific question is I plan on dressing as Minnie this summer and I was wondering would it be rude to ask Mickey to pretend to propose to me for a picture? I realize the costumes are heavy and it must be hot under there and I wouldn't want to seem inconsiderate! Thanks everyone for your help :)

I would say whoever is in the costume at the time will play in the response. We had great character interaction when we were there a few weeks ago and I think we could have asked just about anything and our wish would have been granted. The Fairies were great with their chatting with my grandchildren.

I agree, if it is in reason they will do it. Sometimes they even start it themselves! My DD got to see the new talking Mickey at MK and he did a magic card trick with her. It was great! The characters really do a great job.

That is a cute idea, but I believe I have read some where that adults can not dress-up unless it is during the Halloween time. So I don't know what your outfit is going to look like but I just wanted to put that out there for you.

Disneybounding isn't dressing up in costume. Its wearing something that you can tell is a certain character but still street clothes. For example I plan on Disney bounding belle when I meet the beast. This means ill wearmy jauor half up.amd a yellow dress. A lot of people do it and it can be reallt fun.
From what I've read and seen a lot of chatacters love the disneybounders.

I think asking for cute pose and asking interesting questions makes a character's job more fun. It can get boring just "sign, pose, snap picture, next". It's fun when people are actually excited to see the characters and it's not just another item to check off their to do list.

We had a great time interacting with Cruella De Ville in Epcot by the International Gateway. She was a riot. She asked my kids if they saw any puppies running around and If they had any puppies in their bags. I asked her if she caught or killed any puppies today. She said, "The day's not over yet." and laughed maniacally. She was our favorite interaction by far.

We also asked Mary Poppins a bunch of questions about her umbrella and she was great.

My son asked questions of various princesses and they kept asking him if he was a Prince and from what kingdom.

As long as you kinda show them what you want, they are always happy to oblige within reason

"Ok, I'm going to be like this (show them the pose), and you be like this (show them the pose)"

You gotta remember, they can't hear you, or see your too well in the costumes. So if you explain it, they are always happy to do it

I agree. My little niece actually asked Anna if her and Kristof got married. LOL. And when we met Goofy my nephew asked him what happened to his motorcycle. It was very cute & the characters do a wonderful job of playing the part and creating magical memorable moments for all. :)

i think it would be fun for you to get down on one knee, and ask, "will you finally marry me?" (opening a pretty ring box with a cheap ring or pop-top inside would only add to the moment)
of course, if the "real minnie" is there, she might get upset ;)

My son had a great interaction with Capt Hook and Mr. Smee - my son walked right up to Hook and started calling him a cod fish - Hook pretended to be so mad - turned his back in photos etc. It was lots of fun to watch the interaction
