We're taking my parents to Walt Disney World in May for their 50th wedding anniversary, and I'm beginning to plan our ADRs. We've been several times and try to mix some perennial favorites with new places. I need some input on two nights in particular.
Askerhaus or Biergarten? My father is Danish, so Norwegian food is pretty close to home. My mother is German. (If you suspect that the result of this union would be someone who is opinionated and stubborn, you'd be correct.) Anyway.
I'm concerned that Askerhaus might be too full of princesses, while my partner, never the most sociable of people, isn't keen on the idea of sharing his table "with strangers." Thoughts? Is the food better at one place or the other? Service better? Should we explore alternatives? (For the record, we've been at Le Cellier several times, and I like it but my partner doesn't. We were at Chefs de France with my parents a few years ago.)
Flying Fish or Spoodles? We'll be staying at Beach Club or BoardWalk (the gods of the 7-month DVC booking window willing), and on this night, want to have dinner before heading over to La Nouba. Which would be better for a nice, but not too leisurely paced meal before that? I haven't seen anything at Downtown Disney that particularly floats my boat, which is why I was looking over here.

We're also planning:
- 'Ohana
- Boma
- Yachtsman Steakhouse
- Hollywood Brown Derby
- California Grill - the final night
